My friend has a kinda shit PC, and he was wondering why he was getting an average fps of 12. turns out he had downloaded all monster truck mods for beamng.drive and some. Total of 72 mods.
Yes, to those people who PM'd me at 3am, I did have 527 mods at one point, it was at the stage where I had just got the game and wanted to test it out and have more objects other than vanilla ones, every morning I would log on to the mod section and download every new release. It was so slow and laggy it took like 30 mins to get past menu and into East Coast. Gridmap took probably 7 to ten minutes to load so mostly played on that or GridSmallPure. Also had no storage because my computer would probably be considered low end, it was painful playing almost frame by frame, I still have the date I removed the majority of the mods, January 23rd, 2018. I now have around 120.
Maybe 180ish tops, but every once in a while I'll go through and remove all the mods I don't really use, so about 100 right now.
I have 700-something but only up to 200-300 were ever activated at any one time. I now have that down to 96 and plan to keep it under 100 from now on.
I have about 730 mods, I can run all of them activated fine with 60fps and high settings. Only one or two conflict with each other also. I don’t have a photo though.
back in like 2017 i had like 300 mods installed how i got that to run on a shitty optiplex 980 is beyond me
