Yes I do not know why, but I cant do much about it for now, I will update it when I have filled in the other side of the bridge. Stay tuned. If you know how to, go into the world editor (F11) and under the texture editor (ground painter) delete the "notexture warning" materials and it will be replaced by the next material, in my case i have a rock material on all the unpainted areas now.
same with me the main map is better but there is still little areas where the red no texture thing appears
Yes the latest game update broke some textures, it will all be fixed when I release the full map. Working hard on it.
Well, I'm going to have to go back to the previous version of the crash hard map because I have tried everything even cleared all the cache, when I load the map, my car is hanging in midair and the is 100% nothing around it! No land water absolutely nothing.
First time you load the map or delete your cache it will take some time for everything to load in, I have a "NASA" pc and it still takes 15-30 sec for the terrain to load. If it was anything else that was broken it would not have been approved for release in the mod section.
Sorry buddy, I have no clue, have you tried to install it from inside the game, the mod menu, if that is working again.
If it is not working it is on your computer. I got a school crap can as a computer and the map works fine. I also have over 100 mods installed which happen to still work with the map. As again map works fine for me, if it doesn't for you try to only run this 1 map to see if it works. It could be a huge mod fight going on.
Map works great here. Zero issue, just dropped it into the mods directory & away I went. Love every bit of it. Sat down for a few minutes to try it out, and I must say I'm impressed at what can be done with some time and effort put into a map. 100% on point for a car crash simulator. Love it. Everything from rampant crash opportunities (it does live up to it's name), and the theme which explains why the map is falling to pieces - literally. Large canyons opened in the ground - almost to play on everyone's fear of the ground opening up beneath them - due to a large earthquake. You could have just named it Murica and it would have been just as believable Great map, had loads of fun. Minutes turned in to 2 hours, and I'm not sure the last time I played for two hours on ONE map without trying (unless it was one of mine, but they are mine so that doesn't count). Great work man!
I am having the same problem like kris-chevyz24: my car is flying in middair without any terrain, you can see some textures very far above from the car like trees but nothing else The mod is perfectly installed as you can see in the select screen:
Load game Try to load this map, let it finish loading (as far as it gets anyways) Watch car fall helplessly, tell it sorry close game upload your documents\beamng.drive\beamng.log file to this forum or in private to crash hard 01. Play the waiting game, put tape on your cat, or go back to watching the car fall endlessly.
Honestly how long do you wait before giving up? First time you load the map or delete your cache it will take some time for everything to load in, I have a "NASA" pc and it still takes 15-30 sec for the terrain to load. If it was anything else that was broken it would not have been approved for release in the mod section.
See if it helps by lowering texture detail. Try medium if you're on high, try low if you're already on medium. If you exceed your video memory then the system will default to using the ram on the motherboard when it runs out of ram on the GPU (VRAM). When this happens, it takes much longer to produce a frame vs if it's just in video memory and you get 5 fps. Also consider turning shadows to 'player only' if the above didn't help, and turn off reflections if needed (that almost always helps, this and shadows are very heavy on the cpu too)
