Rx580 bad performance

Hi guys
Just upgraded my gpu from a 750ti to an rx580 8gb and... well cant tell the difference
I have the game on low and 4 ai spawned in on westcoast, game is very sluggish average 18.3 fps on highway
Specs are
Xfx rx580 gts 8gb
Ryzen 3 1200(possible issue?)
8gb adata xpg 2400mhz
Corsair rm650x psu
Msi a320m board

Very bad for you. I have 5 1600, 1050ti with 10 ai I get 35 fps on highway at FullHD. OK, even your bottleneck is CPU you run too little cars at once to get 13 fps, anyway. What is your screen resolution?

 

1920x1080 , with no ai i still only get about 30 fps

 

Without AI I get 43 fps there.

 

So where would my problem be? My cpu usage isnt maxed out , gpu usage keeps jumping from 0-7-13-100 etc

 

I think ryzen 3 1200 isn't very nice, it has frequent freezes because it isn't very optimized (this only applies to ryzen 3 1/2/3200/g and ryzen 5 1/2/3400g), if you need, you can update it for ryzen 5 1600 (it costs around 100 euros) without changing motherboard and all will be ok. Or maybe your cpu is throttling because his temperature is more then 100 degrees, check your temperature.

 

You see i think i had more fps with my 750ti .. amd it never goes above 70

 

Because ai cars are loading cpu and a little videocard, and your videocard aren't working at 100% (if you has 70fps with 1 car and 13 with 4 ai - cars is isn't videocard) and maybe 750ti is more optimized(???) or replace your drivers (what versions you has?). Maybe your cpu is resting on tdp limit.

 

I have +\-40fps one car normal settings, and +\- 17 fps with 4 ai , newest driver right now , tried older too

 

i think it would be your cpu as i personally use i7 5820k and an rx570 and i run the game at atleast 60+fps medium settings and no ai

 

Rip i guess wont be seeing a new cpu for some months anyway

Iv just been playing around on utah no ai and my cpu sits at 50% usage while my gpu keeps jumping from small numbers to 100% also my fps wont go above 50 and vsync etc is off , but it does drop a bit when driving, still odd to be stopping at 50

 

My friend has a Ryzen 3 1200 and a 1050 ti and he gets 45 fps on medium at 1080p with traffic, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the cpu. Did you install the right drivers? Did you get the card new or used? If it was used it may have a mining bios on it which would limit performance.

Brand new card, drivers straight from amd tried both 2020 and 2019 edition

 

How's performance in other games?

 

What is your gfx settings?

 

I havent tried that many but lets say ets 2 plays as my 750 ti would, project cars ultra settings gets around the 60 mark, benchmarks seem low for example cinebench r15 max i got was 93fps , now all i get is 63

In beamng everything is on the normal preset with reflection turned on just like i had on the 750

 

Very strange... Compare your GPU performance with some reference for your card.

According to userbenchmark the rx580 is performing way above expectations
