Multiseat Problems

Hello, so I was having problems with my multiseat and couldn't figure out how to get it working. I have had these problems in the past with the only success of reinstalling the game. when I turn multiseat on it assigns both my keyboard and my controller to player #1 instead of assigning controller to player #2 and keyboard to player #1. You can press tab to switch vehicles, ctrl r resetting them, re selecting them in the menu, unplugging the controller, turning off multiseat as many times as you like and nothing will happen. I thought this new update would fix that as you said you can now "input devices can now be individually assigned to any vehicle (or no vehicle at all)" but the only thing I can do now which I couldn't do before was turn a vehicle on or off in the multiseat. Is there any way or menu I am missing that switches controllers to different player numbers.

 

I've had this same issue recently. Just right now I managed to get it working though. I use a G27 (player 1) and a PS3 controller (player 2) at the same time in multiseat. After cycling through vehicles on the PS3 controller (default binding is up on the D-pad) I managed to control a separate vehicle. Then using tab I select the vehicle I want to control with the G27. It is somewhat confusing, but I hope this helps.

EDIT: I added a keybinding to the G27 to switch vehicles, now both players can select any spawned vehicle.

Another issue I'm having now though is that having traffic AI on takes control of the second player's vehicle. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to play in multiseat with AI as of now unfortunately.

I have assigned this button to both my ps3 controller and keyboard and all it does is switch all the controllers to the other vehicle, Ive tried every button, this new update broke it completely. There should be a way to do it manually instead of with buttons like in the menu decide which controller goes to which player

 

I have the same issue but I have a way to sort of fix it, at least with my method you can play with two players.

So here’s what i did:
I connected one controller, I had 2 cars, I turned multiseat on, and yes I got the same issue. So what I did is: I was lucky I had another DualShock (PS4) controler and connected that one also (so I got 2 controllers conected+ keyboard and mouse) then I switched multiseat off and on and had 2 Cars placed. Now my second controller switched to a car and my keyboard and mouse + first controller to the other one.

the real problem or bug is not fixed with this method because your first controller is still stuck to the keyboard and mouse but at least you can play now.

player one now got the first controller and keyboard and mouse

player two now got the second controller

and player 3 got nothing (just like player 2 if you only connect one controller)

so you won’t be able to play player 3 but player one and 2 can play by them selves

I guess to play with more you just connect more controllers

(Also quick tip: if you give the controllers a keybound to switch cars you can switch the player of that controller to another car)

 

Moin, I have the same problem. I tried a lot. Is the a button to chose one controller type for each car? The 4 player arenas are also faulty. Keyboard and Controller are always one car.
