I'll have you start at 9 AM tomorrow and we'll see how busy the shop becomes throughout the day.

Also, while the D25 project is nearing completion, I picked up another cheap financial mistake. This is a 1973 Autobello Piccolina, and it only set me back $1750. It doesn't run or drive and it's been sitting for 15+ years in someone's yard, but I figure it's nothing more than a carb rebuild, some fresh gas, and plugs/wires away from firing up. since the engine appears to have compression and isn't seized. It has some incredible history too, having found pictures hidden above the visor where it's been at the Glamis sand dunes and competed in the 1979 Baja 1000.

As @98crownvic , @zestyfolfdude , and I pull into the camp, we let out a cheer.

“Good job guys. I think we’ve wiped out this gang completely. What are your plans now? I think I’m gonna stay here for a bit. It’s a nice break from chilly Maine.”

    The tube frame is ready!

I again, rented a truck and trailer. ( jeez, I need to get a truck already.) And headed out to the shop, I then picked it up, paid, and drove back home to where it sits now. The quality work that the welders did to this car is phenomenal, everything feels solid and doesn't wobble in the slightest bit. And suspension parts should arrive later today or tomorrow, depending if the delivery guy is fast.

Good news, the suspension parts arrived early! they came pre assembled, and in a wooden crate. With the help of a hydraulic engine lift, I raised the hopper frame and positioned it over both of the suspension assemblies. I then temporarily slapped on some random wheels lying about, just so I could move the car around freely and not ruin all of the hard work that I just did by dragging the car on the ground.
    screenshot_2019-12-22_21-04-22.png screenshot_2019-12-22_21-04-40.png

Along with that, I also purchased a 1976? Moonhawk Sport for only 1300$ The car's been sitting for 17 years in a field, and has lots of surface rust and currently has no brakes. It's expected to arrive, tomorrow morning. At least the thing has low miles, and everything is all original and untouched from what I've heard.

So I got my tires delivered today. I went with a set of 38X12.50 Grip-All mud terrains. They were far from cheap, but the reviews were fantastic and they looked really aggressive. I mounted them on the used set of wheels I got, which are 17X9 SamPerf Trophy 1000s. I then installed them on the truck, and they look pretty sick.
    screenshot_2019-12-18_19-57-07.png
Then, for the first time in weeks, I pulled the D25 away from the end bay in the garage and out into the sunlight, where I immediately flexed it out on a boulder.
    screenshot_2019-12-18_19-59-06.png
I decided to take it for a test drive and stop by @Tuner from America 's Hopper project in person.
    screenshot_2019-12-22_22-42-19.png
    "Wow! That cagework is fantastic!"

"Yup. I found some welders just north of here that did the job for me in like 3-4 days, all for 4600$ or so. Now I just need to get the body installed, get a good motor, and some rims and tires."

"Say, your truck looks really good in that color with those SamPerf rims. 'like them a lot."

"Thanks man, I look forward to seeing the Hopper in its completed state too. If you ever need to use tools from the shop, or even some shop space, feel free to do so."

"Alright, will keep that offer in mind for sure as I need to cut up the Hopper shell so it can fit on the chassis. See you tomorrow at work then."

"Yep, I'm sure you know by now that we have a plazma cutter there which would make short work of cutting up the body."

Since today at work there was a new mechanic and not that many cars came in today, I had enough time to work on the Hopper. I towed it with a rope behind my other Hopper to the shop, and got it on a mostly un-used lift. I then installed the body, and some other things onto the Hopper, and made a few holes in the shell so it would fit. 3 hours later and everything was secured in place.
    screenshot_2019-12-23_10-05-50.png screenshot_2019-12-23_10-14-04.png screenshot_2019-12-23_10-13-11.png screenshot_2019-12-23_10-13-19.png

Along with that, my new Moonhawk arrived. As the seller said, the brakes were shot and it had been sitting in a field for 17 years. But it does have a manual transmission, and low miles (31K). I don't really plan on keeping it since this thing is valuable and I don't really want a rusty, 2 door, 70's land yacht, in my hangar. I'll swap the front facia to a earlier one to draw more value to the car, get new brakes, and get a cheap respray so it can look presentable when I go to sell it.

I stumble out the wreckage, holding a unlit flare.
"Lets give those campers something to stare at,"
I walk over to the cliff and stare down at the wrecked Bluebuck.
    20191221102604_1.jpg
I light the flare, and throw it at the Bluebuck, it successfully lands on the Bluebuck, lighting the fuel seeping from its fuel tank.
    20191221102751_1.jpg
"Waste of a 423 if I say so myself." I thought.
"But a least I can live freely now," I said aloud.
And so began the jolly walk back to the dealership.

(I’m not really following your story, but I’m interested. Can you give me a quick summary of why your killing the people?)

As the sun goes down, @98crownvic , @zestyfolfdude , and I sit outside drinking beer. In the distance on a nearby freeway, sounds of crashing and burning fills the air. Looking over, we see wreckage and flames.

“I’m not really sure if I want to deal with that. I don’t think I’m sober enough.”

Basically, I hadn't been on this rp thread in a long time, so im filling in whats happened, beginning with the crashed pessima as I had been hunted down and tried to escape. I was killing them in vehicular combat so I could live my life again, but as I killed one gang, their friends would notice leading me on a chocolate trail to Utah. Where I have just finished the last gang leader off aligning me with current events. (I didn't really know either, just had to fill in why I was gone).

I'm leaning against the side of my truck when I hear the crash. "I don't think any of us are. I can't afford to get a DUI, too many points on the ol license anyway" I say as I dial 911. I figured we'd all been through hell the past couple of days, and cops exist for a reason.

(Sorry for not contributing to the story much, by the way. I somehow lost track of this thread.)

(Its fine, don't worry about it.)

Yeah, calling the cops is probably in our best interest. I think I'm gonna retire here for a bit, maybe rent out my farmhouse in Firwood. What do you think you're gonna do?

"Well, I'm still trying to work my way up the ladder into BeamCom corporate. I'm the head finance guy for their Firwood branch, but I don't know how long that's going to last. We're losing money hand over fist. I like Firwood, and I don't really want to move back to Belasco City, but if that's what it takes to get promoted, so be it." I take a sip of my beer. "Or, you know, I could leave BeamCom and work at the bank or something. Maybe buy some woodworking tools and start a business, I don't know. I'll figure things out as I go."
