Today I got some more work done to the D25. I didn't accomplish a whole lot, but any progress is good progress. I was, however, able to pick up a couple cans of automotive spray paint that relatively resemble the paint color of the truck. I then masked off the interior and sprayed the roll cage. I wasn't too sure about the body color-match for the cage, and I'm still not exactly sure that I really like it, but it looks good enough and it'll do the job for now. Next, I got the bench seat and windows back in, followed by my new aftermarket steering wheel to top it off. The final additions for today were the long awaited steering assembly and driveshafts. In theory, it could now drive under its own power, but I still have to drop the transfercase back out to install my 4:1 low range gearset, and the tires are coming within the next couple days.
I walk to the dealer, and instantly spot my next car. No, not the wagon or van. A 200BX coupe! these are getting rarer by the day, and iv'e always loved those popup headlights, sadly I would have to dump it if I got it. So settled for the van. I bought it for $1500, pretty cheap, but hey, everything is cheaper with a gun. I drove off to my next and final victim.
DELETED --- Post updated --- So I was browsing for parts and paint for my moonhawk project, when I spotted something quite frankly amazing! A rare 200bx Coupe. Having given my pickup to a friend, I had one space left open. after stripping the rust, I Settled on red for the moonhawk, and it was quickly painted. Went over it again in case of mistakes.
Just finished Removing the shell and engine/ drive terrain from the frame. I decided that I'll be sending the frame/ blueprints out to a local welders shop, so that the tube frame will be flawless and have no imperfections. In the meantime I will be locating some new axles and suspension bits for the hopper since all of the old parts will now no longer fit on the new frame.
After some days of work my boss called me and sayd :arrive at my office. So I got there. I was seeing a lot of worker standing so I asked what happened and he sayd: we have been bankrupted. So I thinked RIP --- Post updated --- I was thinking I don't have work maybe they have a place in Utah. So I called @Tuner from America. Hey can you ask boss if he need workers because I lost my job?
While waiting at the reception desk for another job, I get a phone call from a past customer ( Denis). I pick up the phone and listen to what Denis has to say. Denis: " …because I lost my job?" Me: " I mean, If you really want to get a job here and your serious. You should probably meet/ contact @Cory5503 in person." Denis: " Alright, Well I'll be heading over there now to talk with Cory." And with that he hung up phone...
@Tuner from America informed me about @Denis15 's interest in a job at the shop. While the four people we currently have employed is just the right amount for the size and workload of the shop, I figured it would be nice to at least find out what Denis has for experience and maybe schedule an interview for him. As for the D25, we were slammed with customer work today so I wasn't able to accomplish a whole lot but I did drop out the T-case and swap the low range gears in it to the 4:1 set that I had. I also affixed the rear license plate to the new rear bumper and tucked the front plate in the glovebox (I'm not gonna run it on the front end for now), but that was the extent of the progress I made today. My tires come in tomorrow and I already have a set of used 17" beadlock wheels that I purchased shortly after I bought the truck and just haven't revealed yet so hopefully it will move under its own power tomorrow.
I see @Denis15 enter the shop office door and I head out of the garage bay to meet him. Me: Hi, Denis. Nice to meet you! I hear you are looking for a job. Denis: Yes. Me: Alright, we don't have any openings available right now, but depending on what experience you have we might be able to work something out. Have you ever worked on cars professionally before, like in a legit shop?
With the blood of many people on our hands, @zestyfolfdude and I wearily walk out of the mine. We’re both stumbling, and leaning on each other for support. “Okay then, it’s finally over. I think they’re all dead. @98crownvic took care of the reinforcements, and we took out everyone from the inside.” Outside, in one of the attackers now blood stained I-Series, Vic waits for us. I hop up front and zesty gets in the back and we drive back to camp.
So what did I do today? Fixed a Bluebuck, ( mechanical fuel pump wasn't working so I installed a electric one). Installed some new brake pads on a Semi-Truck And put some new tires on a 'Cooper Off-road Tours' Hopper. Overall I made 900$ today in commission, alongside my salary. As if right now, I'll be heading back home to check for updates on my tube frame Hopper with the shop that I employed to-do it.
Well, yes but what type of work? Have you been employed at a registered vehicle repair shop before? And I'd still like you to answer my question about what type of experience you have in this field.
Alright, I can offer you a position here. However, me and the co-owner already have a plentiful amount of employees, Including @Tuner from America , who has experience with heavy-duty vehicles so your hours will be limited. I will try to schedule you for 20 hours a week, but there's no guarantee for that.
