electric bad amirite please agree i am in desperate need of support Also, I kind of agree. The entire point of the W-8 was it's masterful engine.
"I completely agree with your sentiment but am desperate to signal that I support electric cars as a whole."
Well shit. Dad took my car (99 Civic) to go see his dad in hospital, brakes failed (didn't crash) and at a different time but same night he almost hit a deer.
Brakes on a Civic aren't that expensive to fix. Replacing pads and rotors for the rear brakes on my 2014 Civic was about $400 total.
But cost/performance benefit it really good, which I feel compelled to say. Welcome to the future, I guess. Edit: from the factory. A JB4 or equivalent will do that aftermarket.
Well, as long as people keep buying it... Also, it might be increasing electricity consumption. Not sure about it, though.
Speaking of Model 3s, apparently the aero wheel covers make the Model 3 pretty efficient compared to the ones with regular wheel covers, according to C&D's testing. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a30169467/tesla-model-3s-aero-wheel-covers-efficiency-test/
That's why we need to use free and open source software on vehicle controllers. People who buy it are ignorant. Exploiting people's ignorance for benefits is more or less a scam.
Just when I thought the Tesla scam couldn't get any worse, they go and do this. This is getting to "Pokemon Sword/Shield" levels of slow motion trainwreck now. They are also completely revolting.
All of the protocols for the Tesla motors controller are already published by them, they've been controlled with stuff as humble as an Arduino.
They do look like if Tesla designed one of those cheap-ass base model plastic hubcaps that most 90s/2000s shitboxes had back then. It looks so basic someone probably already drawn something exactly like that before the existence of the Model 3. I just find them so bland that I don't even notice they're there.
