I wouldn't go as far as calling the GTz a sports car. It's a sporty sedan, akin to the Rover P6-2000TC or the P6-V8.

Some of those are partially some of those idiosyncracies I mentioned though. Some eras covered every surface with horizontal lines, some eras have massive grilles on everything, modern cars almost never have large panel gaps, etc...

Of course we don't even know what we are looking at, but if it is a panel gap then it would be weird to see one too big on a modern car.

Badge in the teaser looks too modern and stylized for a vintage sportscar, IMO.

Well, a different topic... Not like we have enough to speculate on that new car anyway.

With the D-Series overhaul a couple of people have mentioned things that need to change in the vehicle selector to help the config spam. I did quick Photoshop of the current UI and posted it in the 0.18 discussion thread, figured I may as well put it here too. Of course this is a photoshop of the current UI since we don't know what the new one will look like and I can't be bothered making an entire new UI in Photoshop. Personally I think consolidating similar configs and having a third menu would still be user friendly but also cut down the config spam massively, especially for vehicles with multiple body styles like the Bluebuck and D-Series.

Is this alluding to a K-series revamp in the future?

I imagine their plans are to revamp every vehicle, save for the Bluebuck and maybe the Piccolina. I expect the K-Series to be very far down the line, as there are many older vehicles in desperate need of overhauling (new Pessima, Covet, etc.).

I think its a very clear statement that they are going to revamp it "like they have done with other cars"

I want the truck-destroying, built-like-a-tank Moonhawk of old.
Also, while the Moonhawk is based very much on the Monte Carlo (A sole two-door), I'd really like to see a four-door variant in the future, maybe called the Roadhawk?

With the Bolide getting the new engine sound, could that be a hint it's the next one in line to get revamped?

We all can agree the Bolide is also in dire need of more parts. Right now it is pretty much one of the least used cars.

Nah, we should call it the Earthhawk...

but on another note, the Burnside, while it is very new looking it is seriously lacking in parts. The only things that are changed across all the default configs (not counting the choptop) are the hubcaps, transmission and colour and that's it, the Burnside has around the same amount of stock car parts available as the Bolide and need lots of the parts, trims, interior options (steering wheel, single colour bench seats etc), few more tire options, more engine options (its a bit outdated by '53 but maybe a smooth straight 8 or even a flat head v8) and a straight 6 or a larger v8 and four barrel carbs, heavy duty suspension for police vehicles, and maaaaybe a minor facelift with new taillights and an slightly squarer eggcrate grille with the option for a strip speedometer. None of this may happen for a while because it looks so shiny and new and not many other people drive it but it will need an update soon, probably after the Moonhawk I hope

The '53 Special deserves the 2/4 door hardtop/pillard body set as much as the Bluebuck, I'm surprised it has not got that since the Bluebuck's release. It also really needs at least one weird aftermarket engine (reference Cuban car culture) and one interesting factory engine (Chrysler had the Hemi, Hudson had the twin H-power, '53/'54 was the last year for the Ford Flathead in the US and Canada respectively, and Lincoln had the V12 a couple of years earlier. Now that would be a cool engine option in the '53). Don't even get me started on the lack of stock car and gasser configs.

I think the Moonhawk and Hopper are first and second for worst "content it should get" to "content it has" ratio. The Moonhawk should get a ton of body styles as an efficient way of filling some niches (ute, classic muscle wagon, '70's American sedan) and could get a weird Soliad version. The Hopper could get a LWB + pickup (reference Hopper scout mod).

In terms of quality rather than content, I feel the Bolide is the worst. I like it and with the beautiful new sound I want to use it more, but it feels like it's straight out of a version of the game from many years ago aside from the sound. It's the supercar that time forgot. At least the K-Series got the Highway patrol and drift configs.
