JRI is going to need some major updates. Getting that mess up to the quality par would make it unrecognizable; it's easy to imagine it reincarnated as an Asian-Pacific island.
I totally agree. Nonetheless, if they were making it part of Japan, when they implemented the country system this update wouldn't you think they would have assigned it to Japan rather than the US? I feel like the Japan traffic set is for something else.
I don't think it's a necessity. It's just as likely that they put it as USA for now now since it gets Hawaiian plates then switch it to Japanese spawn set when they get around to it, which might not be for awhile if they rework it after the other maps. Worst case scenario we might not see JRI updated until this time next year (figure 1 update for Industrial/Port/SIUSA and another for just ETK), so it makes sense to keep the spawnset as USA to map the current incarnation. Don't get me wrong, a Japanese mainland map is one of the two maps I want to see most, and the only one on my wishlist that's actually likely, but I wouldn't take this as confirmation of a WIP Japanese map.
I just don't think that a JRI remake would be set in Japan. When it was originally made, it was said to be based on Taiwan by the developers.
The second I saw the new car teaser, I thought of RoR, and I sincerely hope it's something similar to the modern Gavril cars Gabester made for RoR, but under a different brand obviously. I don't see how people are getting older vibes from the car, based on the relatively sharp line in the bumper, that leads to what I assume is the grille, it can't be all that old, and i'm assuming late 2000's and up, simply because that color blue wasn't very popular in the early 2000's. The fact that the logo is two separate pieces and almost in a cryptic font, suggests that it's newer, that trend sort of caught on more "recently".
not necessarily older car brands can have sharp badges but i do see what you're getting at i still want it to be french a 90's, midmounted (Alpine A110 rear) Fiat Coupé (engine, front, and interior) but for whatever reason, i am getting modern american from that picture
These are my speculations and opinions, so try not to take them too seriously Not quite Japanese (I can't think of any similar Japanese cars, maybe the Acura NSX?) Not quite Italian (Maybe with Ferrari and Lamborghini, but it just doesn't quite hit the right note) Definitely not British (Having a Triumph- or Jaguar-based British car would be cool, though) Definitely not American (They do have their exceptions, like the Ford GT, but this one's certainly not like it) Possibly French (The idea of it looking like Citroen and DS seems plausible) Possibly German (Looks similar to the front fascias of the McLaren cars) Definitely Mid-90s to early 2010s Definitely exotic/supercar-ish Definitely mid-engine
Yeah, it’s hard to speculate much of anything about the new car, but I thought it could be something along the lines of the MZ2, even if it lacks the same styling.
I'm getting Tesla Model 3 vibes from the shape of the hood, though there isn't a lot of space between the hood and front.
My observation thus far from the pic alone: The logo is comprised of two Rs The hood is fairly smooth (likely somewhat modern) Has an opening just below the bumper begins My speculation: Likely has an I5 It likely has some sort of new AWD system Likely not American
I believe the new car is going to be a sports car because of the grill that can just barely be seen in the picture but is there (I just used the california as a base)
An I5/electric hybrid drivetrain is something I could potentially see on the new car, given it’s seemingly sportiness and the era we can guess it’s from.
