Great work.. is there a way to strengthen the flatbed trailer? it always breaks or bends with 2 or more coils.. an option for another axle or 2 would be nice
A small update on the bug list: - hay bale materials, for the semi and the flatbed Fixed, easy fix. For both the semi and the flatbed - a collision node on the semi car lift Fixed, easy fix, forgot to copy the latest version from the dryvan to the semi. - the 2 axle dolly nodes will collide with a heavy trailer (I'll also check that kingp2 node) Yeah, that was weird. I think I used a very early version of the fifth wheel. There was only a latch node, the weight of the trailer was on the coltris of the dolly. (It used to be this way on the same some time ago.) I've added a 'real' fifth wheel on the dolly, lowered the upper nodes a bit and lowered the suspension a bit. It will rotate smootly now and the dolly can drive underneath it when the feet are down and latch nodes disabled. The only thing is, when braking hard the dolly will rotate. - The lead trailer bogie is wobbly (frame, under guard, fifth wheel) That one had an ugly jbeam. I fixed it a bit, added rigifier n/b (@Ai'Torror thanks). Moved the upper part of the under guard down. Added lots of coltis and smoothed the n/b a bit overall. I still have to adjust the dae files accordingly. - The heavy duty towhitch is wobbly increased the values the existing beams and added a few. Was there an issue with the length of the drawbars? It seems I can make sharp turns without hitting the trailers. Thereby I'm not really sure how to fix the single axle dolly; currently it is held on its vertical axis by two nodes (kingp and kingp2). That's not really realistic (?) I can find examples of two versions on the web: one with a non-rotating fifth wheel but with a rotatable drawbar, and one with a rotatable fifth wheel and a solid drawbar. The latter might give issues when one wants to attach the dolly to a low tow hitch. --- I've made those coils to be right on the edge what the trailer can handle. 20 tons per coil is the max of what I found on the web. You can try to move the bogie a bit forward. Maybe I'll make another version sometime with half the width and weight.
Hey, nice to your back and at it again, is the green truck in the pic below still in the works or is it dead because that could possibly work as a semi truck if it had a fifth wheel uplift
I don't know, but I do think it would be pretty cool if that green truck was a mod that you can download. Actually, I think that you should see if you can make a 5 or 6 axle trailer for the 20 ton steel coils with an axle or two in the middle of the trailer to support the middle coil. That said, I do understand that it may take a lot of work and time that you may not have to do that. Reducing the weight of the coils might actually be a better idea. Also, I have a few questions about the mod. Have you considered making a log trailer that you can haul with a fifth wheel T-series? Are you going to add a more powerful engine option in the mod? Are you going to add 1960s to 1970s T-series trucks in the mod? If your answer is YES or NO, that's fine with me.
that first one, AR162B did some work on it but it has been on the back burner for a LONG time the second one, there are mods out there that have more powerful options available the third one, the T-series is based off the International Eagle from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. before then, International only made cabovers (Transtar II) and trucks that would be the same size class as the green truck above. if you want older (yet unrealistic for the T-series IRL inspiration), there was A mod for it but I don't remember what it was called.
that green truck actually looks like a dseries cab converted to semi truck frame with a semi truck front clip. Like this, it seems to be an ultra-duty pickup.
that is a class 6 truck, just like the green one above. Ford, GM, and Chrysler all put their pickup cabs on the bigger frames because it's the easier and cheaper option. why waste the money when what you got can do the job just fine?
I kinda like the heavy hauling..i managed to haul 2 coils pretty easily.. IRL twin axle flatbed trailers will haul up to 50tons Netload where im from.. these things are pretty strong once built right.. Idk maybe a heavier duty steel version could be done for crazy weights..But thats all up to you bro
Really hoping for all the containers and container trailers to be colourable or at least have different colours as skins. All in all, I like this mod.
Since the T-series is the only truck(especially not finished), such modifications attract additional interest to it. Whether it is possible to add for the dump truck, the trailer device, some various freights of different weight, in the form of "a heap of sand", "a heap of soil". Yes, and why don't you finish the spacer between the frame and the body, like real trucks?... Really, really want to see a truck with a green cab and Pak, D-series(obsolete).
Do you plan on adding 53ft Reefers? and maybe premade Turnpike Doubles so that we won't have to attach them manually? --- Post updated --- Beautiful mod! The challenge this mod gives makes the old Gavril T Series makes it want to die. XD
The B-Double config does not work for me at all, as soon as I load the trailers with something the nodes just won't couple anymore no matter what :/ Empty works fine but that's not really fun
could we pls get a full empty flatbed of the 30m and 15m massive flatbed trailer? like instead of a massive gap its a full flatbed so we can fit more stuff instead of just a silo and turbine wing
View attachment 609453 Beautiful mod! The challenge this mod gives makes the old Gav Might've just ask for a Fontaine Heavy Haul if you want something that could fit massive loads.
thank you for bring back this mod this and the puck up mod were my favorites just wondering and i know you are really busy but are you thinking about bring back the puck up mod?
one feature i really want!more than anything els from this mod. PLS CHANGE THE COUPLERS!!!! you can't attach a tanker or dryvan trailer to a normal car with a tow hitch and its SO ANNOYING!!!!!!! PLSSSSSSSSSS change it!!!!
