    Hello, Welcome to this *amazing* mod thread.
    Why does it have Jeep grille and it's missing bunch of parts: This Vehicle is from a movie called Mad Max: Road Warrior, it's been used as one of the ex-cop cars that chased Max in the final chase, under the leadership of Lord Humungus .
    *This will probably be WIP for a while*

    After long time of practise how the jbeam actually works, I finally got enough knowledge to create my own scratch-made jbeam, I am still learning though.
    *Orange: WIP / Red: Not Started Yet / Green: Done*
    Jbeam:
    40-50 % done
    Textures: WIP
    Model adjustments: Soon.

    Credits: @burilkovdeni - for helping me with exhaust jbeam (maybe more in the future)
    @Mad Genexixs - For Creating the jbeam (me)
    @waboll - model adjustments (he hasn't started yet but I believe he'll start soon.)
    Inertia - Jbeam Advices
    bigfoot2003 from GTA:SA community - for modelling the model(currently how you see it) and then abandoning it
    BeamNG.Drive dev team - for Barstow Suspension (for now it's jbeam and model)
    Future Beta-Testers: @killstreak451
    @waboll
    @baarry5444
    Inertia (probably)

    @burilkovdeni
    Current version: it's currently sitting on barstow parts which will get obviously replaced by my own scratch-jbeamed parts, it's just because I need to test the parts somehow.
    Some photos of the current version:

    I know it's not much, but this one will not (probably oof) get cancelled.
    This mod has no release date as it's heavily wip, keep this thread clean please.
    A lot of you will be asking if there will also be a stock version: There MIGHT be, if I would found any good modeller that has some spare time.

    Okay

    So there's a Holden that actually exists and will be released.

    Just out of curiosity, do you need any help with info on the car? By that I mean I can get reference pics for the frame so you can design a chassis that replicates a real HQ/HX/HZ chassis.

    Funny thing actually, the Statesman, which is what this is, sat on the same chassis as the Kingswood, Belmont, Sandman and Monaro, which means technically, you could model those bodies for the frame and make a Holden mod down the track, and if you made all of the HQ/HX/HZ models, you'd have Utes, Panel vans, wagons, sedans, Coupes, and luxury sedans.

    They all shared the same dash, and the fenders are all exactly the same on every one, bar the Statesman, the grill from from a HQ GTS will go on a HX and vise versa. What you could do, and if I can suggest it, I'd make the front end, like engine bay, save that as an individual file, and when you make the all the different models, that engine bay is already done and can be connected to it.

    It'd also mean that you could make all the different grills, headlight setups (single which is Belmont, double Kingswood, double Premier, Statesman box headlights etc), and they'd all bolt on to the engine bay front end support. In turn that means you could make your own street Street Machine style customs like possible in real life. This would make it one of the best customisable mods out there.

    Imagine having a HZ GTS with a HQ front end and a HQ Statesman grill, with a HZ GTS splitter in HQ GTS Lina Mint. Now that's customisation, if none of you know what I'm talking about just look up custom HQs and custom HZ Street Machines. As well as that, you could make a proper burnout car or a drag car, with a custom front end made out of different bits, throw a rust skin on it and that would just be epic.

    So this here is a genuine Sandman with a HZ Statesman front end, a custom paint job and a blown big block, and this is the sort of thing people like my old man would do back in the 70s and 80s, true, Street Machines, and some of those sort of mods still exist today, there's still people doing front end swaps and making a unique car that stands out from the rest.

    It's also why I like the HQ chassis so much, there were that many grille, headlight and bumper options, and because there were so many made, it's not hard to make one.

    Would that ever be considered down the track? If so I'd love to help so let me know if you do :)

    So I decided to get a few shots of HQ chassis to help out in any way I can. It's a pretty simple frame, with two cross members where the body would rest on and the fuel tank would be directly underneath the boot, which also allowed teams to run bigger tanks, or what we call drop tanks, in racing.

    I'm pretty sure the Monaro also ran a leaf spring four link, I'd have to check, but anyway I hope this helps a bit, now you should be able to develop a suspension model for the Statesman, handling wise, they're boaty like a Moonhawk in terms of overall responsiveness and ride quality, but nimble and loose in the rear like a Barstow, that's very much how the HQs handled, with the Statesman make it just an ince more Moonhawk than Barstow.

    I've also just noticed in one of the photos you posted, there's a brown maroon coloured HX GTS, with what appears to be a white vinyl top, the roof cut off, and the grill from a '40 Mercury Coupe, and period correct mags, that would've been a Street Machine and a half. :D

    All Holden for the HQ-WB (I think the WB) models except the utes and wagons got unibodys, that is not a statesman frame. Monaros had the coil springs, and nimble would not be the right word to use when it comes to the HQ-HX Holdens rear axle, more like soggy and awkwardly placed and I would say that the heavy duty suspension available on these car are slightly worse than a Moonhawks stock suspension, they were not nice cars to drive even for light crusing and had many shortcomings due to the Americanisation of the suspension to make it "nice and comfortable for boulevard driving" and not for actual Aussie roads

    Edit
    just saw that ad page there... what the hell. Holden never did that with sedan and coupe range of cars even, it was only on the ute and wagons, how can this be...?

    Any REFFERENCE for the Frame is ACCEPTED, Thank you a lot.
    But one problem, I am not the modeler though, but I already got a perfect guy for that who just needs proper refference, Every info on this car is pretty appreciated. Thank you. ;)
    by the way, for ppl who will ask in the future if it's "DEAD" it's not and it's not going to be, probably will be WIP for some long time though, again, thank y'all.
    Edit: I knew Holden for mainly the Monaro GTS HQ '72 and Holden HZ UTE, I know them mainly from the Mad Max movie franchise, then, when I was googling a bit about Holdens, I came across this thing called Statesman, I told to myself that I have seen that car already somewhere, and I noticed it was in the Mad Max: Road Warrior.

    Is this sarcasm, I'm sorry if it isn't I'm just not good at picking up that sort of thing over the net. But if it is, I've lived with a HJ Kingswood for a while now, I know for sure that it does not have a full perimeter frame and was no where near as nice to drive than my Torana until I had the front end fiddled up a bit to make feel like was actually on the road and not in space

    It's not sarcasm, it's okay, my problem also is that I am not Australian, I live in the middle of the Europe so, that's why I need any data you Australians know about Holdens.
