Hello, I am curious about what bands and artists that users on this site hate. There are musicians that I do dislike/hate when it comes to music quality, but I don't feel like mentioning at this moment. I don't know musicians I dislike as far music quality goes, so I won't say they are bad people.

By the way, If it makes you feel better. I don't think The Beatles are bad musicians at all. I would just like to hear about musicians other users on this site dislike/hate whether it's because of their music, what they are like as people in real life, or both.

The only rule for this thread is that the musicians you mention cannot be too controversial.

    Otherwise, post away :)

Hollywood Undead. Lyrics so bad that calling them surface level would cause the ocean to rise above it as to not be associated.
    Nickleback. Plain shit anyways.
Travis Scott. I doubt this is even music.
Most other people latching onto Travis Scott. See above.
Billium Eyelash. She and her teenage fan club who claim to be depressed can go do ketamine or whatever edgy highschoolers do now-and-days.

Hollywood Undead: I heard them on a worst bands list and they sound kinda lame.
Nickelback: I don't hate them, but I can see why other people do and I don't consider them great at all.
Travis Scott: Never heard his music.
Billie Eilish: Her vocals on her 2019 album are whisper vocals that get my friggin nerves. I understand that there people who like the album because of the chill and spooky vibe. However, I can't understand why the people like the album. By the way, does "Bad Guy" make you cringe because of the vocals?

I can somewhat get past the teenage part if the music's good, but Billie Eilish's music isn't good at all. It's not even mediocre.

By the way, do you have any other crappy musicians to talk about?

I never actually cringed, but the first times I heard the lyrics "I'm the bad guy" I legit thought the radio in my vehicle was messing up.

Honestly though, I don't take much offense to Billie Eilish. *prepares to get shot* I can sum up my reaction with that one quote from Chernobyl, "not great, not terrible." Dead serious, but people like Jake Paul offends me more than she does.

Also, funny people mention Nickelback. I'm actually one of those people who don't really take much offense to them. I think they have a few decent songs under their belt. *prepares to get shot, again*

But, I do agree that Nickelback isn't the best behaved, considering some of the weird stuff, IIRC, their lead singer did.

As for me. Here's some of my general distastes.

Pretty much hate more than 95% country. I remember listening to it when I was younger, but now I'd rather hear something else. Strange thing is, I've discovered that one country song that I legitimately like is Country Roads, Take Me Home by John Denver. However, I'm thinking that it's probably because of Bethesda and Fallout 76, because after the trailer dropped and every went on about how much they loved the cover used in it, that's when I noticed that hey, I actually unironically like the original song. I think discovering that I actually like the original song because of Bethesda's use of a cover, only contributed to how shocked I was when I saw people's negative reactions to Fallout 76. I was initially thinking that people were going to love it, because the Fallout games seem to get unanimous praise. Makes me wonder, what sets Country Roads apart from all the other country songs for me?

The 90% rule also applies to rap. A lot of typical rap songs have lyrics that I don't really relate to, and I feel like they only reinforce black stereotypes. I find it rare to find rap songs that doesn't focus on these kind of things, and may actually have a more decent message embedded in them.

Here's one that I'm pretty sure @Mullethead won't like, any form of metal where they scream like they're getting brutally ran over by a combine harvester. However, I'm not against those vocals entirely, as they can sometimes make a message in a song stronger, and on some occasions, even make a song cooler. I think the main problem, for example with death metal bands, is that they sing that way 100% of the time, so it overstays its welcome way too fast and just gets annoying. I've seen several musicians actually utilize those vocals rather well, but they also don't take up more than 90% of a song. I prefer metal that has normal singing, with maybe some rougher vocals here and there. You know, variety.

Are Five Finger Death Punch and Florida Georgia Line examples of modern artists that you hate?

    X2

Only music I like is classic country like Willie Nelson, The Highwaymen, And Classic Rock, Like AC/DC, Van Halen, Styx, BTO and a bunch of others.

Everything modern is garbage. And one I CAN'T STAND is Miley Cyrus, She definately "came in like a wrecking ball" and destroyed music.

    Taylor Swift.

Her music is as listenable as a steamboat on steroids, muffled under cement. Her lyrics are god awful and make her look like a pathetic wuss, and her music videos - absolute cringe. I don't get what there is to like about her music.

I know right, Taylor Swift talks about breaking up with men and hater/drama related stuff. I don't think her lyrics are about anything else apart from maybe love and Christmas. "Look What You Made Do" is so cringy. "Shake It Off" is mediocre at best and got far too much radio play in my opinion. I don't care for Avril Lavigne either, but she's much better then Taylor Swift. Also, did you hear about this Taylor Swift thing where she isn't allowed to sing certain songs of hers anymore?

She makes her "breakup" songs as if their genuine, when really they're more mass-produced or fake than anything. Also, I didn't even know that, but I guess that's the punishment for having songs such as LWYMMD. Also, I actually don't hate Avril Lavigne (since you brought her up), but the songs that I only listen from her is "Girlfriend" and "Complicated".

Another popular artist I hate to death is Maroon 5. Girls Like You is an absolute insult to actual women and girls, Animals is petty as shit, and pretty much any of their songs are so overproduced Adam Levine might as well be a robot. Also, the other band members barely have any presence because whatever instruments they play is autotuned to hell, or just seem to bystand there as if they actually have involvement.

"Look What You Made Do" is total dog crap. As for Avril Lavigne, I don't like "Complicated" at all, "Girlfriend" is mediocre in my opinion, the only Avril Lavigne song I actually like is "Hello Heartache" off her 2013/2014 album. Avril Lavigne is better then Taylor Swift though and I can tolerate most songs from her. The only exception is "Bad Girl" which is also off her 2013/2014 self-titled album.

As far as Maroon 5 go, I used to like "Animals", but I don't care for it anymore. I don't ever remember liking "Girls Like You". It is one of the most generic songs ever invented.

Another musician I dislike besides Taylor Swift is Imagine Dragons. I think that their music is really boring, safe, and overproduced.
What do you think of Imagine Dragons Mullethead?

They're meh for me. Radioactive is actually kinda okay, but Thunder is ear-grating and much of their other hits are pretty forgettable. There was only 1 song from them that I actually genuinely liked, but other than that I don't care for their music.

    Fair enough.

As for another crappy musician, I'm going with Jessica Simpson. If you don't know, Jessica Simpson had a music career and she has a fashion career.

I heard one album and a song that wasn't on the album I heard and I think Jessica Simpson is a bad musician. She has terrible singing, especially on "In This Skin" which was the one album I heard from her so far. "In This Skin" has production that sounds like it's from the 80s, or 90s, even though it was recorded from 2002 to 2003 at least according to Wikipedia, plus it was released in 2003. Jessica Simpson's singing (at least on "In This Skin") is strained and forced.

If you want songs to listen to off the album. "Angels" (which is on the collector's version), "Sweetest Sin", "With You", "In This Skin" (the song), and "Be" which are among the worst songs of 2000s in my opinion. You might cringe really hard if you listen to those songs. If you can, or feel like it, listen to "With You" on YouTube just to see how bad it is.

Oh thank god. I hate that song so much too. It also doesn't help that Cardi B also made it. When that comes on while I'm driving, I either mute the radio, turn it off, or turn the volume down to the point where the movement of the vehicle drowns it out.

And I feel the same way about Maroon 5. Something about their music just rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah, to me Thunder and Believer aren't their best. The ones I really love are Battle Cry, Natural, and Whatever It Takes.

With Thunder, I could swear I could hear that one annoying voice either say "f**k it," "fungus," and/or "blunder" at certain points. Rarely do I actually hear "thunder."

With Believer, my mind keeps telling me that I'm hearing "throw me out the window." It's honestly even more unconvincing than the whole Yanny VS Laurel thing.

The interesting thing is, the three songs that I'd consider my favorites by Imagine Dragons, are ones you can argue are "action songs." Battle Cry definitely, since it was part of the soundtrack for Transformers: Age of Extinction, reinforcing that indeed one of the best things that came out of the Bay Transformers films, is definitely the music. Makes me wonder if I believe that Imagine Dragons perform at their best when doing "action songs."

Oh yeah, that's the one where she says she's gonna "find your bacon." I refuse to hear anything else other than bacon.

Okay, I don't remember that lyric being in the song.

Alright, I looked up the lyrics on Google and I could not find that lyric at all. Are you trying to make a joke?
