My PC specs are: i7-6700 (non-k) 16GB RAM EVGA 450BR psu Samsung 860EVO 500Gb I'm trying to find a good GPU to pair with my i7. Beam is the game I play the most and I want something that won't bottleneck my CPU when I run around 4-5 cars. What should I get? I'm buying used and my budget is 250 max. I've been looking at an RX 590 so far.
No GPU in your price range has any chance of bottlenecking that CPU. The 6700 is a pretty capable CPU. Be warned that AMD's GCN cards sometimes have bad graphical issues with BeamNG. You might be better waiting until cheaper Navi cards come out, or getting a GeForce.
Depends on how they were used (avoid ones that were used for mining), the price being asked for them, etc.

I said sometimes. I had a Fury X which is part of the 300 series, and that had issues. I never said that all cards had the issue. That issue went away entirely when I went to a Navi card (5700 XT).
U wot m8? The Fury cards were almost completely different. The only thing they shared with the rest of the stack were the GCN core. I find your statement to be grossly blown out of proportion. I’ve had an HD 7850, 2 R9 380’s, and an RX 550 in my time. Zero issues with Beam. You’re clearly doing something wrong.
No, I had driver related issues that affected only BeamNG on the Fury X. Specifically with black lines across the maps whenever grass was rendered.
So, it was just the Fury X with the problem. Not all, or even some, GCN cards. One card, and one driver, I presume. Update or roll back to a stable driver. More false information. Mining cards have been well taken care of for years, often heavily undervolted, so that they could last. @Jetpackturtle, generally, buying used cards will get equal or better performance at the cost of power (wattage). New gets you lower power usage, warranty, features, etc. Honestly, it's up to what's available in your area for used cards, what company you prefer supporting, and what features you want.
Thanks man, I've been buying mining cards for a while and never had any problems but I think I'm going to go with a refurbished 1070ti.
