It's mostly empty desert and canyons.

It may not be that wild, but it sure is a piece of the Wild West.

Most BeamNG maps have towns or villages. I am almost certain Utah will get a small settlement

Well, "most of them" don't mean "all of them".

Sorry if its been mentioned before.
This new driving mode thing looks pretty cool. It looks like with the offroad drive mode, it could possibly have BLD, if what Diamond said is true. "Today starring electronic diff locking (open diffs that pretend to be cool and use the brakes to slow down the faster spinning wheel) and electronic AWD control (think clutched AWD system like Haldex etc)." Diff locking is also mentioned in that last picture, with the "lockFront" and " "brakingCoefP": 200}] ". It also looks like Air Suspension is a possibility, or atleast adjustable dampeners. Another thing I picked up on is possibly a valved exhaust of some sort. If you look in sport, the "mufflingOffset" is -0.3, which would mean it would be louder I assume. And the obvious fact that the V10 will 100% be coming from the video its self.

There doesn't exactly have to be a town. Maybe there could be some sort of rest stop on the side of the highway. Imo, a lone auto shop and a tourist trap seems a bit barren, but then again, it is a desert.

V10 and I5 being worked on? Offroad tech?

That adds even more fuel to the fire of my Touareg theory.

Looks like at the very least a V10, new ESC mode, adjustable dampers and Brake lock diffs on the 800 and possibly the K series, even though I doubt offroad will be on the K series.

*This post in the original form back in November 2019 was probably the worst post I ever made*

@Srockzz, you are awesome for calling out the original statements said in this paragraph.

Comparison. Looks to be a camp or something. I'm not sure.

With all of the teasers about "driving modes" and a dev's comments on the matter, it's likely we're getting a new *modern* car.
This thread has talked about the matter of modern vs old before. Me and quite a few others agree that Beam is awash with older cars currently. I'm excited to see something modern.
Gman can give his opinion on my comment, but I'd prefer if it didn't become the main talking point of the thread again. We've got some exciting new teasers being given to us and I'd rather us all be discussing those than modern vs. old again.

Having been to Arizona, the new Utah looks incredibly accurate. The new lighting complements it very well.

    Good job, staff!

zestyfolfude, Fair enough. I hope we can get some new vehicles in this update. By the way, I will talk more about the upcoming renovation of the Utah map and lighting.

Man please invest some of the brain energy you use to write your opinions into breaking them up in paragraphs.
The devs, and i can quote them said "new car" and i can bet my lunch money that the Hopper Crawler is not that secret car. Also everything that they have been showing new is definitively for something modern and new, some car with AWD, and some odd engine. Not a 50's truck.

Guys seeing the evidence, the fact that we are getting a possible V10 and an I5, Haldex-like powertrains and driving modes, have we considered that we may possibly get an Audi? All this mix sure sounds like something that would come out of Audi in the 2000's, remember the V10 RS6 C6 that had basically all of the listed above.
Maybe, MAYBE, since Autobello has some VW in it, we can assume that the whole VAG group is represented by Autobello by some degree, leading to maybe a german engineered car with germanish italian looks. Further fueling my theory of an Alfa 156/166 but now mixed with some Audi A6 C6.

I'm not so sure we will be seeing the new car in this update. We only learned about it recently, have no teasers confirmed to be related to it, and we know the update will be out before Christmas. I know the vehicle team has been playing things closer to the vest with every car lately, but still. Not saying it's impossible, just that I'm not expecting it.

Falkrum said the next car is not the Wendover, not that the next car will be in the next update.

I personally think the driving modes will be coming for the two present ETK's (maybe not the offroad mode on the K series), same with the V10. BMW has some V10s, and ETK is literally just BMW. The K series is still mostly unfinished IMO and has ALOT of space up front for a V10.

Pretty much confirms we should get a new car. However now that i read it again, i can say for sure i doubt it is coming for this update
