Where did the whole "chat" thing go?

    Wasn't there a UI app in game that linked to the forums where there was a chat? What happened to that? Did they remove the chat thing?

    There was, it was removed a few months ago. There was a misunderstanding about whether BeamNG would move to Discord or not, and in that, the server hoster closed down the IRC channel.

    No, that's not entirely correct.
    We hosted our IRC ourselves. Our IRC was linked to another one, so that they could share the users.

    There was a mis-comprehension when we asked opinions about using Discord instead (thought we were going to close our IRC soon, while we weren't) and the two servers were de-linked.
    That left our IRC chat almost empty, and since ourselves did not use it at all, it was taken down once for all.

    Ah ok! Thanks. Although it was kindof nice in game to have the sortof multiplayer feeling and ability to share experiences in game with eachother
