There still is lots to do.. Progress as of 15th March 2020 What I'm still working on: Improving the automation jbeam majorly (making progress, bumpers, headlights, bonnet and boot can detach.) Adding more configs, Info and thumbnails Texture edits for the interior Maybe a rock crawler variant with D-series suspension Adding badges (P100D for Model S swap or EV or sth) What is already done: Sunburst interior edited to fit the body Sunburst engine, suspension mesh and drivetrain mesh very slightly edited to fit the body Fully customizable Automation suspension Working Hydraulics Donk version, Taxi Taxi (the movie) version with silly stuff, Dragster, Police version (with livery, Sunburst police stuff), Other silly versions, a Deo Volente spec that can go 1190km/h, Widebody versions, memes, S, SE, SEL and SES trims, Demo Derby configs Breakable Glass 2 Widebody kits 5 options for Front and Rear bumpers as well as Sideskirts and hoods 7 Wing(+1 Spoiler) options (I like wings) Jbeam integrated for interior, needs editing at places however Universal BeamNG wheels as well as swappable automation wheels A cheap logo ("Fort" instead of Ford, yes very creative, logo done by @Alex_The_Gamer ) Working Dashboard, will edit some things onto the Radio and Odometer etc Gearbox customisation A V8 Engine swap with hood exit exhausts and side exits as option Blowers for the V8 A Tesla Model S EV swap A breakable Fuel tank JATO rockets The STIG can be selected as a driver Underglow from @ItsJustCurtis 5 liveries Wings for JATO config Detachable bumpers, bonnet, headlights, grille and boot (It started life as an automation car, as the title says) A Pizza on the roof Customizable liveries Gay and Trans flag on roof (as option for the above) ------------------------FOR MORE STUFF---------------------- (remember, there are 40 configs) Spoiler: Screenshots of a lot of stuff aka Mod Content The Stock car. I got the idea to add wings one evening and just started modelling and jbeaming them Trackday Configs! Blue is the Electric version. Purple uses a 500hp i4 (not shown) Drift config! Livery inspired by a Shelby Mustang, has a 420hp V8 and no grip. Perfect muscle car! A generic Taxi. nothing special, bases on the base S version. Tow Package, just in case you need to tow sth in your Focus. I like to call this the "What The Hell Special". Certainly a fitting name Widebody kit 1 Widebody kit 2 Widebodykit 3! Hillclimb kit Rally config Base model, S config Hocus pocus, there's a Pizza on your focus! Yes, I made a meme car, thanks for the idea, discord friends Model by Est_Nbmstr, textures and jbeam by me Driver cam view (second one is for the STIG) A Side Exit exhaust Sits on an edited sunburst frame mesh All current configs... Dont look too closely. 40 in total Lots to choose! You can do quite a bit in the body part. Engine can be tuned to 500hp. Engine swaps are available. Silly Options A crap ton of things you can set! honestly just clean up the model mate. looks wonderful, but as with all automation cars their model's arent tip top lol.
well of course, but knowing joker he puts a ton of detail into his cars and that leads to messier models
Yeah in automation it all looks fine you know In beam it all comes out.. Here it’s in automation: i used a crap ton of fixtures Also you gave me the idea on how to clean it up! Hehe I have to mess with materials (as all the holes and cutouts in the original body from automation are made using invisible materials, I have to edit the materials in blender and can’t just close the holes)

Thanks! well actually there already was one, but by far not like this (didn’t have all the customization and the body looked like crap, I’ve seen it once but forgot the name of the thread) Also yeah, it’s really nice to have this on an automation car ^^ I’ll see what I can do to it further on Yeah I’ll clean it a bit up Well mostly up tbh I’ll also try to add the things named above. I want this to be as good as I can make it at the current moment of time (I mean I can try to add detachable hoods and bumpers, but I’m not really sure... the mesh is quite sketchy to work with, one face thick.. I’m not sure. May or may not do that) thanks! I put a few days of messing in automation to get the body like that And then the last 4 weeks getting it to where it is right now, learning some new things day by day ^^
Glad to see Automation finally used as a launching pad for BeamNG modders. It's a nice opportunity so often neglected by the playerbase... My best wishes!
Ive been modding automation cars for quite some time now, but never to this extend Automation was great as a base for mods Also, ill try to make a Universal Automation Mod (by putting files into common), to try and improve every automation car in existence and maybe getting some people into modding, as I'll try to set up some tutorials, with files you can mess around with. As all automation cars are fitted with the same slots, I can very easily swap out various things, I'll also try adding some other things like lightbars or whatnot, which you can move via tuning sliders. I want to help people who have no idea how to do anything with their cars. Here is what I planned for now everything with a (?) are things which I'm not sure will work like intended and may need experimenting I'll prosumably start with that some time next month, or the month after
Looks very nice. My one item of criticism, which is really a total nitpick, is that the hood seems a little longer than in real life. A very little thing, though, and it’s cool to see your skill grow past just Automation. Keep up the good work.
I gotta see what I’ll do at the end. For now it’ll stay Fort Have been thinking about that too... I’ll ask some other people and see what they think Also uhm... the longer hood Is a true thing... I chose a too long wheelbase in automation and I can’t just change it. I was too far with the design once I noticed that so yeah.
