Well if it is raining there for him it is most likely pouring down in the valley here in Knoxville but I am on travel for the moment so I've got no clue. But yes, Satellite plus rain (and sometimes very heavy overcast) can destroy satellite internet from my uncle's experience

Look west of there, Central Tennessee area, up on the plateau.
Yes I'm about an hour's travel on route 40 west of Knoxville. A bit west of the Rockwood/Harriman area yet. It was POURING in the wee hours of the morning, and I MEAN POURING. It completely put the kabosh on my internet use.
So, tonight @ 2AM when my bonus period starts, I will ATTEMPT* TO upload again. The traffic isn't 100% perfect (it sometimes gets stupid around intersections in the new area, but I've connected the roads as I always do...), but it'll do otherwise and there's no glaring texture bugs or other things that would spoil the presentation.
*It's still damp here, and it still might rain, but that won't last forever. On a clear day it takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes to upload, so I'd reckon with a 6 hour window it should work unless it's consistently super-duper cloudy.

    Map is uploaded.
Patreon notifications went out this morning 2~3 hours ago, so if you're a member, check your mail or visit Patreon.
The resource post HAS BEEN CREATED, but IS NOT LIVE / VISIBLE YET. When it is visible later, you'll either get a notification, or you will see it pop up on the mods>maps section. The file will be transferred to the BeamNG servers manually by staff at their convenience sometime today or tomorrow. When that is done, it should be live. Thank-you for your patience, and thank-you to all those who helped out monetarily or through giving assets (even if some aren't in the map yet).

--That is all, so keep eyes peeled over the next 24~72 hours (I am at the mercy of staff and time here), and Enjoy Los Injurus!

Humble Bundle (software retail site) often has good books and sometimes software to help you learn code.
Find out what you want to make, then find the popular code that can do it (say Lua for games, Python, etc for web script), and start learning. You have to really really enjoy doing it in your free time to want to do it for a living. When you have to do it and don't have an option to NOT do it, it becomes a whole different animal. I love mapping and modding but it at times can be a test of patience, especially when the you-know-what (the forbidden brown crayon) hits the fan.
That said, I wish much luck to you, and there's plenty of sites for coders (I think hack-a-day is one, IIRC). There's plenty of source to look at especially on software in the GNU license spectrum of things such as linux. Learn linux and get good at that, as it's one of the better environments to run software in and code it.
Notepad++ I use here for editing map script is actually a decent tool if you want to start scripting. If you set it to the language you're working with, it'll tell you if you goofed, most times, through basic syntax checking/validation. Notepad++ is free and available by using your search engine and finding it's .org site.
Myself I try to stay out of code, but I can edit lua scripts with some of the better of 'em out there. Can't remember how many times I had to fix STALKER with it's crash-tastic self-mutilating code, but it's in the dozens.

Your local vocational-technical school would be a great jump-start into your career. If you're 15 and just starting 10th grade, go see your guidance counselor at school (if they offer vo-tech school, try and get in, it might not be too late! do this ASAP). Your teachers should be allowed to give you a hall pass at school to send you up to the guidance counselor. They should have a computer programming course there at your vo-tech. Failing that, there are online courses by various colleges, just make sure they're accredited. This is very important, as non-accredited colleges may just take your money, give you basic knowledge, but not enough to really truly help you if you wish to transfer your credits to another college. Community colleges are a good option if you don't wish to go broke trying to get into a career.

Do stay in school and get your diploma, don't drop out, as while a GED is decent, it's NOT a diploma though it's better than nothing.

Do you feel bleak about the future of your country without your involvement directly in it? The future of this nation depends on YOU *points finger all serious and stuff*!
If you can take orders and be screamed at day after day and wish to have the honor of serving your country, do sign up for the military when you're in your Senior year of high-school. They will provide schooling for you, train you how to be a man, and whip you into shape. You have to really want to do it though, and it's very tough at the get-go, but it's entirely worth it and they DO pay you well.
I have a neighbor who was an under-achiever in school so he quit college and joined the Marines. They beat the snot out of him in boot camp but he's still very very glad he went through it, and he (among many other folks I know) is very proud to be a Marine. Sure beats still living in your mom's basement on McDonald's salary in your 20's because you can't afford to move out. You'd get yelled at often either way, might as well join the service and get paid to be screamed at. It's like a 'get out of doing the trash and dishes for free card'...
Being in the military also is an open-door qualifier (but not promise) to many government jobs that prefferentially hire on military members (and ex-military members with honorable discharge, and reserve members, etc).

I hope some of this helps. If you have questions that I did not fully answer or anything like that, do see the study hall monitors (teachers), home-room teacher, or other teacher to ask to be excused to see your guidance counselor. Guidance Counselors are there to help you get on the right track, to guide you through the changing needs of your education VS the changing needs of the future work-force.

It's GONE PUBLIC, Los Injurus has 'finally come out of the closet' (haha, I couldn't resist, even if that's so politically incorrect).
So go ahead and download it. Thanks for support and interest in Los Injurus. Updates for supporters will still continue as normal.

Thanks Synsol and Nadeox1 and whoever else helped the process along, as I made yet-another-map-too-big-for-this-site. Oops.

Another good advice imo is this :
If you want to learn about a program, take it apart, peace by peace. Don't be afraid to break it as you already made a backup.
Every time you run your code you will notice the changes you made : "What if I do <this> ? Will <this> variable work ?" And so on..
Take things apart and try to run them in peaces while blending in your own code. That's how I learn to find my way into it and yes,
patience is important.. if it doesn't work after hours just drop it aside and let it rest for a day or over night. Next day you will surely
improve on solving the problem.. :)

no jumps on the top of the multideck cap parks? seriously? Bob, this is in violation of the code of the brotherhood of tomfoolery. you will now be subjected to 3 months in jail, forced to watch rick astley music videos on repeat.
But in all seriousness, awesome job on the map!

Browse into the zip file the map is inside of, and there shall be what you look for.
Map zip should be inside of documents\beamng.drive\mods
    It should be called BOB_CITY_MAP_ALPHA_PATREON_PREVIEW.ZIP
Find the levels\TSH\art\buildings folder and remove all except the NE_TUNNEL or TUNNEL folder(s). There's should be one of those tunnel folders (which contains an old tunnel from 2015 and some brown lo-fi rocks), and see if it works then.
I had hit this error in the past with Tail of The Dragon I believe it was. Well apparently on some systems, even though it is not used, the hotel folder can still cause issues. Oops.

...I didn't install it manually. Why? because it's so darn big at this point that it keeps failing it's network.

Hahahahaha, yeah I hear you, I was thinking about that. I shall add some to the model (they will integrate into the map automatically), sometime this month. Will make sure those get out. I need to do a new texture to those garages, too, but I am somewhat hesitant because of the labrynth of UV's (textured surfaces) which make up the parking deck model. For what it's worth, the parking deck is a two-floor modular model, with all the textured surfaces connected on the concrete... posts, ceilings, floors, ALL of it. For the sake of expediency, my sanity, and FPS*, the rest of the model is duplicated the rest of the way up, with a little adjustment on the top/bottom floors for obvious reasons.
*This is also why this map runs so well, or at-least it runs as if it's trying to display less than half of what's here. There is a method to this madness.

With what exactly? I took a few days off from the mapping... for sanity sake and so I can try to use some of the software I have here, which in turn will allow me to do better with the map. I have a tree-generator tool that's supposed to be all automatic, so I'm trying to figure it all out now.
So sorry if it's been quiet.

In other news, for those who don't already know, you can now download the map from the mods section, it's also featured.
Yes, I said it, this city is now on the repository, and also I want to know what rock you've been hiding under all week.
Someone tell the BeamNG you-tubers, the reviewer ones especially. Maybe we'll get some coverage here.
The next Patreon update should land roughly two weeks from today, for those kind souls supporting the map (thank-you).
I've noted the very small select few bugs I've received, nothing major, though some old graphics in the resources fouled up something for one guy. I think it was the same issue I had on Tail of The Dragon not too long back, stupid old Motel model from 2016.
--That is all for right now.
