I guess with the weight of it being just a little over a half ton its gonna be interesting to see what comes out with engine swaps I guess a V6 could fit I doubt a V8 would fit in it at all

 

Main problem with twin bank engines is the exhaust routing, I'd have to make some sort of single exit setup, which is a pain when the cutout for the exhaust is pretty much lined up with the engine itself.

 

What about having exhausts out both sides or out the back is that an option for you?

 

Doing dual exit exhaust properly would mean having a duplicate mesh/Jbeam of the whole body just to have a second exhaust cutout, which I'd prefer to avoid for maintenance/update purposes, since duplicates make that a pain.

I can't do a rear exit exhaust either because the floorpan is very low, and the transmission tunnel quite tight, so there's just no space for an exhaust.

And at the end of the day I don't really think it needs more engine options since there's a good selection of power outputs already.
I don't really want to add engines for the sake of adding engines.

The only thing I might add would be less powerful engine options.

 

Yeah I see your point, its a pity you cant go straight up and out the bonnet for a straight up and out the hood exhaust system, you really are limited in ways you can take the exhaust out the car and thats annoying

One bug I can report with the car, is that on the config selection screen if you choose to spawn the car in one of the preset colours (from the colour picker on the right), the car spawns in the same colours as on the thumbnail

 

Would it be possible to add ABS and TCS to this car or is that not in the "spirit" of this car, but apart from everything done so far it works really well, also cant you dump the exhaust from the far side over to the single side exhaust already, I know its a little dirty to use that to do a V6 or a V8 that carries 2 exhausts as standard

Seems like there's a minor issue with my info files. I've found the issue and it should be fixed when I'll do an other update.

For V8s and V6s, please read my entire post. I don't see how that would add anything other than more engines for the sake of adding more engines.

ABS and TCS is something I've been thinking about, not having it as default with any configs, but possibly available. I'll might look into it.

 

Hey, I just drove it first time, and WOW what a machine! It's exactally what my dreans with this car are about! Now I wanna build one of those even more!
If it's possible, could you do a variant based on the Caterham 160? Pigeon or Miramar engine, skinny tyres on steel wheels and only the windshield as optional!

Yeah I just did sometimes it takes me a couple times to get things into my head its a problem with me entirely skim reading is a bane of mine and I am trying to stop myself from doing it

Yeah I mean if you could have the TCS have a couple settings like, Normal, Sport, Track and Off entirely to really make it exciting, as for the ABS I am unsure how you could customize that.

I had a poke around at the dashboard code and its just a matter of changing a few lines of code for me to swap the kph side with the mph side so change the position to get the car to read out in mph and Degrees C (rather than the Degrees F the Americans do) to fix it for me, its a pity you cant have like a few options there for it, its all in the code

 

7 logo probably breaks the rules since it refers to the Lotus 7. Normal grille I already have the mesh I just need to get around texturing it.

Yeah I need to check that out. Dash runs very similar code to the ETK 800 dashboard, so I just need to play around with it a bit.

 

I know how to swap the code around in the js file but overall its a good dashboard its a pity it doesnt go to a brighter blue when the headlights are on, I suspect its already lit up already when you start the car up
