I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I haven't seen it,
    so my apologies in advance...

While on Grid Map (or any map), I'd like to push a button
and bring up a menu to choose my next map. I select a
map, click OK, and the game spawns my current vehicle
    in the map I've chosen.

The point being, to not be forced to exit the current map
and vehicle in order to access a new map, where I have to
    choose my vehicle again.

Thank you for any consideration of this matter.

The whole interface is being redone for the next update, and i expect more user friendly features like the on you suggested to be implemented. Right now the interface is fairly clunky, but should be much improved by the race update. Im hoping for better controller support, so you can control menus with a gamepad.

We all "expect" more user friendly features.

I simply suggested something specific I would like to see.

You can neither confirm nor deny this feature will be included
in the Race Update so you don't know anymore than I do.

This section of the forum, however, was created by people who can...

Isn't this the place to ask questions about game features to be answered by the devs?

This is a great idea, especially being able to transfer your current car (in current condition) to a new map. I'm pretty sure it is planned, weather we see it in the race update or an update far in the future is the question.

You could probably do it yourself with the new GUI, you can code your own apps.

It seems so obvious you'd think it's planned and that's the reason I asked here.

I just want to know if it's planned or not, from someone that knows for sure.
We can speculate all day whether it is or isn't, or ways to workaround it...

This is the proper section to ask such things, I'm sorry if my bump of my
thread caused anyone the urge to speculate on an answer, but I'm really
only interested in a simple yes or no from someone that actually knows
how to answer my question. Thanks

No, pretty sure you're the first to suggest it. And it doesn't really seem like a priority or an important thing to have. It isn't much hassle going back to the menu IMO.

But as I said before, I'm sure someone can create an app for it.

Why bother? I takes less than 10 seconds to go to the main menu. Plus a map & a car are two different stories, spawning a covet would be a peace of cake but spawning in a map in an instant would be like solving a rubix cube whilst trying to negotiate with a suicide bomber who is screaming at you in another language.

This is not a poll or opinion thread... Again, I'm only interested in a simple yes or no from someone that actually knows how to answer my question.
    Ps: No you didn't...

Are you speaking for the dev team or....?
Is that the official answer to my question?

I still think it would be a good feature to have.

Ctrl+M? brings up map menu, scroll, select, ok.

Devs are too busy to take suggestions.

And yeah it'd be a good feature, but in all the meetings we've had, it hasn't been suggested or mentioned once for the future plans, so it's obviously not planned. They'll start taking suggestions after the race update is released, so you could suggest it to them. Right now the main priority is releasing something.

I'm sure someone will create a mod for it anyway, but the answer to your question is no, it's not officially planned. Unless tdev has some secrets, which I highly doubt.

Huh. I thought buying an ssd was a lot easier than that.

Not a perfect solution but hit F11 to open map editor, then click file/open and browse to new map folder and open the .mis file for the map you want. Hit F11 again to close map editor.

You have now just opened a new map without going back to the main menu screen. Not the smoothest implementation but it does do what you asked apart from keeping your current vehicle.

You can also name/save custom car setups in the (ctrl + w)parts chooser so you can load it quickly from the (ctrl + E)vehicle choosers drop down boxes. So if you did spend a while setting up your car each time this will help speed things up a bit.

    I hope this helps a little :)

I'd be embarrassed to say that also...that's never a wise marketing move.

    Fair enough...
I just thought it was so obvious that it would have been mentioned
already, but since it hasn't it'll take some time to grow on people I guess,
or not. I think it would be slick, but far from top priority I would agree.

That will have to do for now, thanks for the suggestion!
