When i talk about suspension, i talk about suspension hardness/softness and shocks absorption. Sports versions have a boat felling (a bit), mostly at corners, braking and launches. I think she's too soft on sport versions, and have a lot of roll, ("roulis" in french idk if its the right word) in my opinion. In real life, sport version have better and harder suspensions than regular versions, There is some videos for a better explanation: (you can start at 0:29) (corner at 6:29-7:01-7:49 & suspension/shock absorption at 12:30-15:08-15:26-16:50-17:45-18:35) (it's a X4 but I don't find similar videos with X3)
this could really benefit from a lightbar. i think this would be very effective in chases, either on highway or off the road with the right parts.
First impressions: I really like this mod! Props to all of you who worked on it. --- Post updated --- The only real issue I have with the car specifically relates to the ride comfort with the air suspension models: The rear suspension seems fine, stiffness and damping both behave like a sporty crossover (so firm but reasonable). However the front suspension is significantly stiffer and under-damped, so the car rides really badly over rough roads. The front behaves completely differently to the rear (it also hops and bounces on its front on bigger bumps). This is especially bad when both front wheels go over a bump at the same time (like a speed bump). Also the height changes are much more pronounced with the rear compared to the front. Right now the rear air suspension is better paired to the comfort suspension up front than the air front suspension. If the front air suspension can be changed to better work with the rear suspension and be an ultra plush system, then this mod would be perfect Regardless, this is by far one of my favourite mods in Beamng drive, and kudos again to the creators. --- Post updated --- (For some reason it won't let me post my impressions all in one post so here is the rest) Good Points: The looks are good, kind of an amalgamation of the current german SUVs, which is really impressive. That said, the bumpers do look a bit odd (as has been mentioned in detail by others on the thread), potentially this could work for a M-sport version or something like that, however ordinary versions do get the look of the wheels being lost in the arches. The front bumper is also very wide, so when viewing it from a rear 3/4 angle or from front on you can see its huge chin and it makes the wheels even smaller looking. The rear window could also have a bit more rake to better reflect modern SUVs (like the Volvo xc60) Handling is good- it feels like an SUV! There should be a M or AMG type model above the TTsport which is really firm and fast. This could be like the X5M to the X5 m50i. (as a side note I really hope an update to the all terrain Traction control can make it work with Torque Vectoring, it'll be really cool for softroader offroading!) Engines are of course good. I'm really glad the engines are shared with the 800 series (native support for some of the more interesting engine mods over there )
I have this car saved as my default - and it seems to have messed up all of my replay's - the only vehicles I see are the ETK 1300 (That is my custom default) - and the truck, which is the only vehicle that spawns in replays. I have an image of the console to show the error occurring. (Video evidence attached)
Since im not home i cant do any fixes.. But im noting the issues stated and ill do some fixes tomorrow, the d15 bug is something recent which i havent been able to reproduce.
heres a name yall haven't heard in a while I told inertia about this on discord since apparently hes helping out with the mod, and he said maybe.
this is a fantastic mod but i only have one gripe, the track is a little too narrow, for example, the stock wheels when you spawn it dont fill out the arch enough on the TTSport
Weird that none of this diesel engine dont have emissions I watched engine files and didn't find particulates setting
Am i the only one who is seeing the front suspension collapse on the lowest setting? As soon as i hit any kind of bump one of the wheels retreats into the body. You can see in the video the first test with the suspension in the lowest setting, as i hit the ramp the suspension collapses, while on the second test on normal mode, the suspension doesnt do anything
