Outdated ETK 800 Sedan 2.3

i dont know whats wrong but the the entire rear end is just screwed up and this is the lights, rear bumper, and the trunk lights.

 

This mod hasn't been updated since 0.14. I think it's safe to assume the mod won't be revived for a while. Idk, hopefully it does, but i don't think it will be updated.

That only happens to the previous version of the mod, the author recently did a quick fix, look earlier in this thread and you'll find the zip

 

This mod is officially broken (at least for me) for this update (0.17). On some bodies, the rear suspension explodes and on all, the front suspension breaks immediately.

 

Yep, went to use the Fastback version and it failed

Managed to get it to spawn. Here's how you can do it:

Spawn the green, 6 cylinder comfort version (convertible). It spawns, but the front suspension and engine breaks immediately.

Removing the front suspension as a whole in the parts menu fixes the engine breaking, so the car is driveable but only in a straight line (duh) Maybe someone can figure out how to fix the front suspension.

Better than nothing i guess.

Uhhh... So?
It doesn't mean it can't get updated or fixed by someone else.

 

That's not how it works, you know. Author is still somewhat active, so it's up to him to update it, if he ever feels like doing it.

Mods are not up for grabs for anyone to come and do whatever they want with them. Authorization at the very least is required in order to be able to release derivative work.

 

It all depends on the author.
And the author of this mod doesn't mind if someone makes him work in the new version of beamng:

 

That was about the limousine version, which would have to be based on his mod.

As for the actual fixes, he said he was going to update the mod himself. He even distributed a partially hotfixed version a few weeks ago:

He probably doesn't mind if someone does fix it, but so far we haven't heard anything from him yet.

Yeah, I indeed planned to finish the fix for 0.16 since that was not too much effort, but with the 0.17 update much more work would be required and I'm really not keen to do that [soon]. So if someone wants to fix it for 0.17, feel free to do so.

 

a sort off fix is making the bodystyles occupy a different vehicle in the vehicle selector

 

I would really like it if it was still using the ETK 800 selection because I'm using the ETK 800 Hybrid mod with the fastback body and it woks well as one. I really want it fixed but I understand that it will take a while
