    Hello ,
I have no idea does anyone still experience the slow ui in beamng , especially vehicle customization
Anyway not sure did anyone solve this yet,
But I found a fix for me .
In task manager /details tab /BeamNg.drive.x64.ui.exe setting the priority to high speeds up the ui by tons ,worked for me anyway.!

Yeah, there is a problem with that... The UI & game itself are 2 separate procesess

Yeah I always had this issue but setting the ui priority to high seems to have helped a bit , as far as I can remember this wasnt an issue long long ago on way older versions of beamng?

pausing physics when you customize a car is a quick fix.

That happens to some people. Out of curiosity, what brand is your GPU? AMD or Nvidia?

Did it not load on your PC or laptop? The other people who have this problem have Nvidia, while I have AMD and don't have this problem.

There isnt really any fix as its a problem with the UI itself. Its slow right out of the box even on a clean install with no mods etc. Only thing you can do is wait for the devs to fix it.

I think that Nadeox did hint their having something coming to address UI issues, but can't remember where and of course it is not certain if such will make it to next update, but they are working on it.

For me, there is no big slowdown, UI is slow as it's always been slow, but nothing major.

With Nvidia, if I pause physics and hit ctrl-w I get just white board, sometimes with vehicles menu too, so pausing physics is not option for me.

I don't know why AMD and Nvidia would behave differently in regards of UI, maybe their threading preferences are different?

In NVIDIA control panel I have threaded optimization On, not sure if that was so at default.

I just switched from an R9 390 to a GTX 970, the UI behaves exactly the same for me.

Also I think he meant if you open the parts menu then pause physics you can change a number of parts at once so that when you unpause they all load at once instead of doing it each step.

Ah, that is "informative" and "useful".

I haven't done pausing that way before, must test that as sometimes when changing a lot of parts it gets annoying to wait after each part.

Ah yes I forgot to mention this. If you open the tuning menu after you pause, it doesn't load. If you open it and then pause, it will load. I think the vehicle selector works either way though.

Oh yes, but if you have UI hidden, hit ctrl-e then vehicle selector did not show up, just white space, also sometimes vehicle selector does not open first time when you hit ctrl-e when paused but doing that again shows vehicles.

Also pause remains on screen even in main menu still if you forget to unpause before going back to main menu.

Didn't want to create a new thread since this exist so i'm resurrecting this one.

Is the new UI still terribly slow for everyone even after the update? My UI is very laggy, I tried setting CPU affinity but that doesn't help. when I hit ctl-e the menu takes about 1 minute to load, almost unusable, all menu items take about a minute to load each

    EDIT:

Found that having mods (activated or deactivated) slows UI speed, the more mods the more its slowed, deleting all mods from the mods folder makes the UI faster again

What 'new' UI? There's no 'new' UI yet.

New as in the most recent update, it seems like since the update mods cause a laggy UI
