WIP 30\50 ton Flatdeck

The word that both of you are looking for in order to describe three axles closely spaced in a suspension system is "tridem".

This thread looks interesting - colour me impressed by the functional steering on the drop axles. Are they going to be set to a particular key so that they can be raised and lowered?

Just as a bonus, here's a link to a website for an Italian company that sells suspension systems on the international market. They have a few different available languages, and PDF files of catalouges full of dimensions and specifications - it might prove helpful at some point.

 

That's interesting but that was not the word we were looking for. I was only pointing out that tandem,
in the context of trucks, stands for two axles and @acynder used the word for the mod's three axle system
and proposed a sliding tandem for the trailer and added a link for an example. Very interesting but this
weight problem occurs on tandems because they only have two axles. Three axles are capable of handling
all loads (without being 'over-stressed') that aren't categorized as super heavy or exceptional transport.

Edit : Maximum allowed total weight of a standard semi config in Europe varies from country to country with
The Netherlands being the country which allows the highest total weight without the transport being
exceptional, so without the need for extra licenses. That weight is 56 tons. So yes , three axle trailers
better be up to that weight.

 

Thats Interesing! Here In Spain the maximun weight is 44 (metric) tons in the Euro-Modular configuation.

Well well well, this looks awesome! About time someone did a Euro trailer with 3+ axles
In Poland max is 44 tons. But only with a 3 axle truck and 3 axle trailer, with a 40 feet ISO Container, Combined transport

Will the loads also be a separate file..for loading on other vehicles?

 

so far, they're equipable for the trailer, but they can fall off
but, they're not separate objects, because there is no load securing in bng, unlike ror, so loads would just fall off, even if you loaded them, unless you attach it to the trailer with the node grabber, which isnt really efficient

I want to go roll over whit that load really bad, seems fun! Can it crush another cars? How heavy it is?
