Hello all, I have been tinkering and setting up a 3,900hp bluebuck. I'm using a recent motor mod that adds a 502 cubic inch motor and its great. The torque is tremendous at launch and with the independent front suspension the whole car twists (We really need a adjustable wheelie bar). Which brings me to the topic of this thread. Do you guys have any tips or a setup to help with this car? I've been tinkering with the rear suspension for the past two days dialing it in slowly. Grip wise I dropped the rear tire pressure to 14.7 and it sticks well early on the strip but a bit past the double white lines it loses grip and gets all out of whack. Which I think it has to do with the 4 speed drag transmission we currently have because about then is when it shifts into 3rd and it gets a ton of power breaking traction. So a 2 speed trans or a 4 speed adjustable transmission would help a ton. I was debating on learning to create parts to make a wheelie bar. So back to the topic at hand, have you guys built a drag build of the blue buck yet? And if so what do you use for settings? I get 7's at about 210mph at the line from memory. Left is the car, Right is about where it loses a huge amount of grip. I sometimes lose the driveshaft occasionally too. But so far I like the tires. Mod link for them is above ^
i broke into the high sevens as well using the same engine and a 7 spd auto using trans brake at the light. I have the complete opposite problem, I cant keep the front wheels on the ground. I can launch so hard it will flip on the launch lol. and panhard bar vs the other for the axle seems to make no difference.
