This is my Dad and I's project. It started off as a wheely king by HPI, and the only thing that we kept were the axles, everything else has been custom built by us. Upgraded motor, accurate laser cut chassis, custom 4 link mounts, custom 4 link bars, custom sway bars, working cantilever suspension, custom tires, custom rims, with custom planetary caps, custom paint template, JCustoms 93' ford f-150 body, we were going for a replica build and i think we nailed it.
That Looks amazing man. so when you say did it yourself im curious about your chassis. you should send a picture of it with out the body would love to see how it looks.
now you need flags to top it off, looks sick, any rc tours near you? im on rcmtcny, famous for fast maxx --- Post updated --- still interested in that smt10, my dad said i could sell it
We had ford flags on it at one point, just not in the picture. Heres a YouTube video of it running. Unfortunately there arent many rc tours near me. --- Post updated --- My dad has always been a huge monster truck fan since he was little so he has a huge collection of pictures, magazines etc. He designed the chassis on CAD, making it an exact replics of Bigfoot #11, then he had it laser cut out of steel and powder coated. We made a few other chassis as well. We made a Bigfoot #21, a Bigfoot #16, and a PEI chassis.
It's a cantilever suspension set up. Bigfoot #8 was the first to implement this design and Bigfoot #11 also uses this design. Allows for more suspension travel.
Oh wow, your OSD son, lol, I used to talk to him years ago on RCMT.net, shame he does not do anymore chassis,
I got some body covers made for my annual new designs revealing for the RCMTCNY WORLD FINALS 11, 2019
