i get GPU has crashed message after about a minute of playing

so, here's the issue:
when the new update came out, I was pretty excited. now, I don't have the best computer, and it is a pretty new HP pavilion. it can run beamng.drive (sorta laggy, but I can do Utah and west coast fairly good but don't want my computer to suffer on the Italy map that I have not tried to use) and gets very smooth FPS on smaller maps. now, when the new update came out, everything was laggier. even on ''grid, small, pure'' it gives me an error message and the game closes that roughly says "your GPU froze". I removed every single one of my 557 mods (yeah I know that is a lot)

is there any way I can stop this from happening? it has made the game pretty much unusable and it's getting very annoying.

edit: hotfix did not fix it yet, just tested it

Same. Kinda bummed. I have a 1 year old pavilion. Not the best one either.

 

Im thinking its a heat problem. Are you sure its not overheating when running the game?

 

It has always ran the game fine. If it was i would hear the fan's

I read on another thread, that someone in April reported a similar problem that ended up not being on their end. Hope its not a me problem.

 

this happens to me, but it's when i just respawn/recover my car.

my computer doesn't overheat majority of the time, only when running cities skylines (but its very taxing on your hardware) and beamng has never crashed from just driving around or respawning, like it has been recently. I just hope a fix update comes out and it solves the problem, if it even does solve the problem. If it never gets fixed it wont be to big of a deal for me because I have a new pc that'll arrive in the coming weeks with a much beefier cpu and gpu.

 

I do wish for an update as I don't have any other computer (or at least able to run it half-decent).

The guy who helped me in the report system for the game said he would talk to the dev team, so IDK how that will end.

 

a hotfix was released today, hopefully it fixed this issue

 

The same thing is happening to me when i reset my car and after a minute of playing without reseting my car. im using an intel gpu as well. The game was working fine before the update.

Fourth edit: it was cms 2018 that was updating. not the Hotfix I think

Never mind. the hotfix was downloaded.

im going to clear my cache for beamng. that might help. and uninstall your mods

Yeah, i have the same issue too after the 0.17 update, im using hp pavilion with intel core i5. My game crashes everytime i reset the car... Had beamng like for year now, worked perfectly fine before... -_-
