Does anyone else use one? What are your thoughts on them? Personally, I like the feedback of the clicking noises on the Razer Huntsman Elite (first mechanical keyboard I ever bought, got it yesterday) I got.
i actually use a mechanical keyboard its a: Genesis Gaming Keyboard Backlit PHOD 400 its wonderful the clicking noise is so good while those other keyboard yuck
I'd love to have one, but I'm stuck with a membrane Dell keyboard (Dell KB212-B); not the best since it only holds up up to 3 simultaneous key strokes. It's quite quiet (it's a membrane, it has to be quiet) and it's not that bad for typing (for gaming is meh). I have on my wishlist some mechanical keyboards, but I'm still not sure which one should I buy: ASUS ROG Strix Flare, I don't know if I'll prefer the red or the brown switches, since I've only used membrane keyboards in my entire life; HyperX Alloy, seems good, but it doesn't have the Italian layout (which I'm used to); Corsair K70 and Corsair K95 Platinum, but I have the same problem as the Asus one, idk which switch is the best for me; I'm not really looking for RGB since my motherboard does not support Aura Sync and it would be quite ugly to see non-synced RGB between the gpu and the keyboard; I may only use them with a static colour (white probably) or completely turned off (which is useless, otherwise I may just buy a non-RGB keyboard).

That's a membrane keyboard (most common and extremely cheap). There are mem-chanical keyboards that can be considered as "hybrids" between mechanical and membrane (mostly membrane keyboards with the mechanical tactile feedback) and then the fully mechanical keyboards that use special mechanical switch. In most of the cases mechanical keyboards are more expensive due to the higher manufacturing costs. You can learn more on Wikipedia if you want or watch a comparison video.
I'm a snob when it comes to keyboards. I have to use them every single day, so they better be some of the best feels to grace my fingers. I currently have 3 (technically 4), and I plan on accumulating many more: -Corsair Gaming K70R (The daily): Before the RGB K70, before the K70 LUX, before the popularity of Cherry MX Brown and Speed in gaming keyboards came my beloved K70R. Cherry MX Blue switches, standard non-gamer font, red back lighting, simple. Elegant. Has media functions, a volume scroll wheel, and Windows Key lockout. It's all you need. You'll bury me with this board. -Chicony KB-5181 (The Hard-to-Find): In the 80's, keyboards were the rage. This is a little bit of a pride and joy for me. It has extremely hard to find SMK 2nd Gen "Monterey" ALPS SKCM Blue clones (which are regarded as better than ALPS Blue). Light key press, tactile, and I absolutely love the sound it makes. It's PC-AT compatible, converted to PS/2, converted to USB for my pleasure. I seldom use it for preservation reasons. -Computer Labs Terminal: This one is so odd. It's a legitimate terminal keyboard, meaning it's missing some function keys a standard modern board has. It has a "Field Exit" key in the spot where Enter goes, and Enter is where the backspace key should be. It's absolutely weird. Vintage Cherry MX Black is what it uses, and I use it late at night so my K70 doesn't wake people up. Boards I want: IBM Model-M, IBM Model-F, Apple ADB ALPS board of some description, Dell AT-101, Acer KB-6312-TW, Unicomp EnduraPro Black, Topre Switches, Matias Switches... I could go all day.

But the huntsman isn't a clicker, it's linear, any noise you're getting is simply the key hitting either the top or bottom of the housing as you release it or hit it too hard and bottom out
What? It uses Razer's new optical switch, which are clicky switches. Well, I say "new". It's a carbon copy of optical switches used by A4Tech for years, but Razer-fied. So cheapened, overpriced, and junk. They feel absolutely abysmal as well, like all Razer switches. Actually their Yellow linear switches aren't completely god awful, just undoubtedly ultra unpleasant.
I use an IBM Model M, THE mechanical keyboard to use. I absolutely LOVE it and I can't even use membrane keyboards anymore since I'm so used to having this beauty.
I am using this mechanical keyboard, I bought it from back to school sale 2019, its lil bit expensive in market thats why I prefer to buy from there, its a durable keyboard than others, My one is working quite well.
Razer Ornata Chroma "mecha-membrane" keyboard here. I love the thing, although I'm sure there's some strong opinions against it from others. I do not use the wrist rest. Looks nice, very comfortable IMO, beautiful lighting, etc...
Logitech G11 user here, was originally my brothers keyboard but he gave it to me after he left and its the keyboard I have used ever since, but personally I think my G11 is the best keyboard ever
Aye, keyboard collector here. Vintage and new ones alike, currently using some restored Hi-Tek 725 Space invaders. In all fairness, the model M IS a membrane keyboard. Though they are very nice.
