same with me. when i try to go full throttle on something like the srb4 or the ETK 800/K series cars it just breaks and goes.
small bug but the underside (where the suspension connects to the actual frame of the car) is incredibly jiggly on the 98 Pessima. pic for reference. This is where the bug occurs. Its best displayed when yanked with the node grabber.
This has been driving me up the wall for the past few updates and it still has not been fixed. Many cars are missing various sections of their descriptions, from model years to nationalities, and it goes on. Some other bugs: Sirens and Emergency lights are always independent. They may use the same control box, but control wise they are independent. There needs to be one button for Emergency lights and one for the Siren. The license plate covers up the flashers on the Polizei K-Series For some reason the Virtual Reality plates have black text ever since 0.15. It should be orange. If you double-click a vehicle in the vehicle selector that has a two-tone paint job by default, it will be one color only when spawned. For example, the stripe on the side of the DT40L is white instead of blue as shown in the thumbnail. Some vehicle thumbnails are outdated. For example, the Police 200BX has it's pre-0.14 rims in the thumbnail, however in game they are different. Most maps are missing proper road signage. Every map needs to be brought to Italy's standards on this issue. Even maps with some road signage, like WCA, the Automation Test Track, and Utah, are still missing essential signs at intersections and other places. Some other errors I came across in recent updates: In real life the Carabinieri have their own stations. However, in BeamNG, they lack any stations whatsoever. The Polizia Bolide is extremely unrealistic. First and foremost, I do not believe Italian police cars come in a "slicktop" configuration. There is usually at least one external roof light. Secondly, the livery seen on the Bolide is based on the modern Polizia di Stato livery, however the Bolide is from the 1980's. It would likely have a livery like this in reality. The Italian Police in BeamNG lack any sort of "Sensible" police car if you will. The Bolide and Piccolina are both extremely impractical cars for modern day law enforcement. I was surprised that there was not a Polizia variant of the ETK 800 series added to BeamNG, as it's real life counterpart is used by the Polizia di Stato. Last but not least, if police pursuits return to BeamNG when the official counterpart to the traffic tool is released, most maps have realistic police vehicles. The only notable exception is the Automation Test Track, which features a few public highways and mountain passes. There is no official New Zealand Police car in the game at this point. It would make sense to add a New Zealand Police variant of the 2nd Generation Ibishu Pessima, as the NZ Police used the similar Nissan Maxima in the past. Edit: Fixed some grammar errors.
You are right + you should be able to fastly press the siren twice (on off) but still get one full playthrough of the signal (folgetonhorn in my native language)
Utah USA doesn't have the official map logo\ EDIT: I didn't think mods could effect something like that, I'm guessing it's a map mod that caused it, East Coast has the same thing, they both still work it's just harder to find in the menu now
It has it for me. It's clear that you have mods enabled, that might be the cause of the issue. Use safe mode and clear cache before reporting bugs.
The likely reason for the Bolide to have that livery is because it was inspired by several Lamborghini Gallardos donated by the manufacturer to the Polizia. There is no modern Italian supercar in BeamNG.drive currently, so the Bolide had to do. As for the slicktop configuration, they may not have thought any of the lightbars in the game would have fit it, and may not have wanted to make another just for it.
Agree. The Carabinieri skin on the Piccolina is also the "modern" one. In their defence, it must be said neither the Piccolina nor the Bolide would actually be used by either law enforcement squads back when they were new because of contract rules - even today, patrol vehicles must be 4/5 door cars, for instance. So I think we should consider them both as late "parade" cars, much like the Lamborghini Gallardo in Polizia livery.
The Piccolina would have likely been used by the Carabinieri back in the day however, as the real Carabinieri did in fact use the Fiat 600. However, the Bolide would not have. All of this does still mean that the omission of a "normal" patrol car is even more confusing.
The blue one seen in pics is actually a vintage reconstruction for parades. Real Carabinieri 600s were mostly green. Carabinieri also never used the 600 outside of the "Pronto Intervento" group (this one responds to citizens' calls, like in case of emergency, environmental hazard, road accidents, theft and whatnot). Recently, they contracted a few Seicento Elettras ZEVs to grant a local presence in town centers. With the occasion, a few classic 600s were given the newer blue livery.
Most fire engines and ambulances, yes. But in regards to law enforcement vehicles, most to all are gas.
I'm having terrible UI lag with this update. I have an Acer Predator G3 and I've tried everything from turning off the Game Mode setting, to uninstalling then reinstalling the game. The lag occurs both with and without mods. Any tips?
Keep getting this error every time I load up into a map, I did some research and found out that it does interfere with the AI in Atlanto ghost car and some other AI in free-roam is disabled because of this but idk what to do to fix this?
No, but strangely, when I tried turning it on (to see if that would help) the game crashed and when I started it again, it stopped lagging.
It mentions sahmod.lua which is part of this mod. https://www.beamng.com/threads/better-sounds-mod-4-9-work-with-0-15-0-5.38669/ Also please mind that issues with/caused/related to mods do not belong here. Uhm, something broke in there, we need to check. The flashers were moved slightly down. Fixed, was due a bulk update of all licence plate files, the color got lost. Also added the EU format for that. This is an old bug. In short double-clicking, only default_color is being picked, and assigned to default_color_2 and default_color_3 too, whereas those have a different color specified. On our ToDo list already, but it's minor.
Can there be a feature that lets you have different settings for each map. For example in Grid Map I use higher graphics and in Utah I use lower graphics and every time I change maps have to change the graphics setting.
I didn't know that the sounds mod was still installed and I had to clean reinstall 2 times to get rid of it.
