I saw @TheAdmiester and @VeyronEB 's pictures of global illumination in the community screenshots thread. I have a few questions. 1- Is this enhancement available to the public? 2- If it is, where do I download it? 3- How do I install it? (if 1 and 2 apply) Thanks guys.
Check out the latest version of Reshade. The global illumination comes from qUINT ray traced shaders. They're a bit of a performance hog and they take some fiddling to suit your tastes, but installation should be pretty self explanatory.
Like so. There will then be an ingame menu that you can activate using the 'Home' key, but you need to aquire the qUINT-RT shader things, then drop and drag them into the respective folders created by the Reshade mod (in the beam folder) * Will be located where you installed the game, mine just happens to be 'D' drive The in game menu will look like the image i've linked, you need to check qUINT to activate the PTGI
'Home' key by default. You should have text saying reshade stuff initialised (fades out after a while) if installed correctly
Looks like it's not installed correctly, then. Thanks for the help. --- Post updated --- Just to clarify, when it prompts me for which game to install it to, doI click the beamNG application, not anything in the shaders folder? And do I click "Direct3D9"? --- Post updated --- Tried all the steps- Still doesn't work.
Here, follow the steps. To get the reshade menu and stuff working you don't need to copy the qUINT-RT files across, that's for when it's installed and want to try GI
my Reshade settings look different-is this a problem? Not to mention when I go into bin64, any files relating to Reshade don't exist. --- Post updated --- I give up- I'll probably try tomorrow.
qUINT-RT (ray tracing) is that experimental ray tracing mod. It's been famous for making GTA 5 look extremely real life like. It is in it's early stage of development so you can only get it from going to their Patreon and supporting them. I'm not one for paying for mods so I'm probably just going to wait for them to release it. Edit: https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg/posts <- here's Pascal Gilcher's Patreon.
What settings are you guys running, I messed around with it a little and this is the result that I got,
