There are a few older coach busses that mounted the engine horizontally under the floor in the center of the bus, and I believe the current volvo B7 series busses are available in this configuration. But I've never heard of it on a school bus.
They used to use the snub-nose front-engine buses in my district in the late 90s when I was in high school. They were still making / using them, and the engine was accessed through the front, front sides of the exterior, and through a compartment 'dog-house' style door that was in the center of the front of the bus interior, extending out from the dash, immediately to the right of the driver's seat. From what I know they are still made and in-use, as mechanics hate working on the rear-engine buses compared to either variety of front-engine buses (both standard and mounted below the driver's area).
When I use the parking brake the brakes just overheat --- Post updated --- And the walk guard doesn't go out all the way
I like this mod a lot, it adds some much-needed variety in the bus department of this game. I do have a few items of constructive criticism, if you don't mind. These things may have been mentioned before, I haven't read all of the pages. 1. Sounds They're totally fine most of the time, except when the bus reaches roughly over 2000 RPM, in which the engine sounds like it's going to engage into warpspeed and ascend into another dimension. It'd be nice to have something that sounded a little better at "high" revs. 2. Lighting I like that you included the ambers and reds, although I think they could be improved by using the siren/police lighting function. I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement, but it'd be nice to be able to hit M, have the ambers flash realistically, then hit M again to cancel the ambers and engage the reds. Also, the lights on the back are in the order of red to amber from the outside of the bus, and then on the front, they're ordered amber on the outside, and red on the inside, which I personally haven't ever seen before on a school bus, and it doesn't match the back. Just my two cents, but it is your mod after all, do what you want with it.
i think it is --- Post updated --- nevermind this is the dansworth i got confused by the blue bird thing

This is quite a lovely mod. One thing I would love is a manual transmission. I guess it's not a realistic option but still.
Thanks for the mod! can you make them work with this mod? https://www.beamng.com/threads/adjustable-jato.53820/
