my Italy map is broken

well there is no assets or textures showing up and the water is red the thumbnail is missing and there is only one location, i am running on the version before directx11 was introduced also the auto bello has no thumbnail and there is a few vehicles missing, is there any thing that can be done?

 

That version should not have Italy in first place, such early version of the game was not built to run that map.

Last dx9 version was really long time ago, then 0.14 was last with dx10 support, but it was already using dx11 by then, Italy came in 0.15 version.

 

ah okay how would i go about runing beamng.drive with these features without using the dx11 since i do not have suport?

 

I doubt that is possible, even if you could get the map to load properly (it will not as game can't handle the map), no computer on this planet would run Italy as with 0.15 there was lot of optimizations done which allowed Italy map to run with current hardware, but before that there just was no hope for running such complex maps.

I guess DX10 support was dropped in order to make optimizations possible.

If you run Tennessee mod map and then divide fps like half what you get at burger world spawn, that would be what Italy would run, at most, probably lot less.

So there is no way to run the version with Italy, I also don’t just want it to run itali I just want the game to run properly

Yeah, it's impossible. You'd need at least dx11 for that.

 

You cannot carry water with a pitchfork, Italy just requires more recent game version and hardware.

So how was I able to run that version before they cut support?

 

because dx10 support was removed in a hotfix iirc
if you want italy, get a dx11 and up graphics card

 

Because you did play 0.15.0.3 or some older 0.15 game version, DX10 support was removed in 0.15.0.4

Didn't actually remembered that it was removed only in 4th hotfix.

I guess that with 0.15 there was problems with DX10 support and it was decided that 0.14 is best working DX10 version and put to steam from that reason.

I can see how that is bit of issue in your case as it does reduce amount of content you can enjoy.

Not sure if they are willing to update DX10 build to be based on 0.15.0.3 instead though.
