I still use fsx and the acceleration pack too. This looks like it's going to be awesome, I just have to download it. :| I swear I hate wow internet.
Nice one carlos. And yes, there's fun to be had with strong winds. Ever seen the atmospheric break up of a space satellite during re entry? Now I get to very crudely do it to cars and the B25 bomber.
Hey, cool App, I like the idea! I installed it like you told in the description, but there's a Little Problem: If I select the wind direction the second time, I can't turn the selector... It just freezes, when I select the direction the first time Could u please fix this, then it's perfect
Thanks for the coments. @Bobmc757 - It is an unreleased WIP map. ------- Ok, in case you are interested. I've updated the OP with probably the newest version. Small changelog: -Wind now applies to all the vehicles in the level (in the older version, only the active vehicle got affected). -Fixed the problem where the circular slider didn't work properly the first time using the app. -And many other fixes and general code improvements, thanks to theshark. This is probably the last update I'll be putting up here. Report any problems you experience. one thing what i can recommend, and would be very cool if it possible, i don't know how it work, and you can write in code or not, but this is just an idea. 1. add ForestWindEmitter to your "winds!" app 2. Selectable "Forest Wind Emitter" something like this hope it is possible!
I'll definitely give this a go, but I'm not sure I would be able :|. Plus, if really needed, this seems to me more like a BeamNG game engine task, but I admit it would be so cool.
Use Torque3D commands from the JS interface. like SetMatrix and GetMatrix . It's most likely possible
Ok, there was a problem with the naming of the folders. Rename and/or reorganize your folders to make them look like this: Code: ►BeamNG.drive ►html ►apps ►[B]Winds[/B] -app.css -app.js -app.json -app.png I hope that helps! I'll be updating the zip now anyway.
this mod is so great, it deserves to be an official app, great work dude. ideas; 1- make it possible to fill the parameters with the keyboard for more presision 2- something to show airflow alined to the veicle maybe 3- nothing to say more i don't expect you to do it since i don't know how hard it would be. you did a great job for that, continue and mabe make more (waterflow maybe?)
When you click slidebar, then use arrow left and right to finetune, that is how all sliders work in BeamNG, afaik. Also this is official app, if you open up UI apps, you can find wind app from the bottom.
Does anyone know how to raise the maximum value? i know i can achieve higher winds via the console commands, i wanted to get very strong winds with the slider if possible. i already looked into the json file but didnt find anything. Thank you!
