Okay, lets calm down a bit
That is great :) But I do think that is even heavier to run, and the rear axles are not up to the standard of the rest of the truck, (no damping beams, are wobbly. And missing dirt texture) I did plan to remove all that from the mod. BTW what frames do you get with the flat bed version + removed engine cover and exhaust system?

And I agree lets cool it off here :)

On the stripped version with the Rust texture removed from the cabin (also I would suggest removing that from the frame as well please!) with the Nvidia 430.53 drivers with the stripped back truck a stable 60fps....on Grid map as for other models in that sub 40fps I havent really checked yet with the latest drivers I was running on the drivers that were released two updates ago I think so I cant say for definite

Hey crash hard, is there any chance that i could convince you to make the outer front panel of the cabin a removable part in the parts list? I would like to be able to have a "restoration project" config of this rig, and having that front panel removable to allow all those epic cooling lines under it to be exposed would just be super epic imo

Sure I will see about doing that at some point, but until then just use the node grabber at 100% and just rip it off like a bandaid :p works like a charm :)

never mind, I forgot i had the old and rusty cab on the truck. do not work with the new cab

You're right, i need to calm down, i apologize, i have a bit of a short fuse due to a mixture of my adhd and my depression, i learned a long time ago the hard way that its not what you say, but rather how you say it, and i definitely said it wrong, i use to mod for ror up until beam came out, and the negativity always did get to me, so i get a little too defensive about it, im sorry you misunderstood my orginal post, it really wasnt a rant more of me joking about saying ha your super expensive rig is barely out performing my cheap rig, while also stating that i felt it was a good mod, then i woke up, saw your reply, and just jumped off the bridge without even taking a look at what was below it. Im not above admitting i made a mistake, and i definitely made one, so i apologize

hey man, this may sound like nitpicking but any chance of ever adding license plates? i feel like especially the eu ones could help add a proper tatra vibe even though it may not be too realistic. ive been messing around with simplified collisions a lot more in this truck and every time i drive it i love it even more, it seems to complete every challenge i set it with easy, although it would be nice to have some rear weight options as it can be quite front heavy and with the simple collisions you cant place props on the back. i just love the attention to detail, the fact it has headlights and taillights so it's possible to drive it around like a normal truck despite the massive size. im sorry for all my complaining, i take back all my complaints from before. i saw it then as just a thing for crashing into other things but after playing for a while ive realised it's sooooooo much fun on its own anyway.

Thank you, and I can see what I can do about making a big weight in the rear that can switch out the bed/flat bed (some heavy metal welded to the frame)

Man, I love this thing... It is a lot peppier than I expected as well! Chirping all 8 tires off the line in a truck this big is really awesome, especially when you combine that with the go anywhere ability it has.

Happens to double as a good PC tester too... finally something to try and drag my computer down. The fans sounded like a jet was gonna take off :p

This is awesome. I remember Nadeox making crazy RoR videos on Youtube (running over the gabester's civic with the Zil) and only wishing I had the PC to do that stuff. I remember someone asking him "what kind of computer do you have?" and he replied something of "One with a jet engine and wings". I'm right back there even with my 1,200 dollar 2014 homebuilt tower.

I totally see what you're trying to do with this behemoth and I really appreciate you releasing it to us. Only issues I really saw was that the front air bags don't seem to inflate or deflate with "G" or "CTRL+G", only the rears.

Just got a chance to play around with this. Wow, this is reference-study sim material. Worthy of being some sort of digital museum display. Damn thing even has semi-organic brake shoes, lol. Love the fact that you can actually see the diff gears doing their thing. Does the gears action change when you diff lock?

I would recommend people do a full break-groups on the action menu. That’s when you can really pick it apart and explore the depths of this mod.

It runs decent enough on my rig to be able to play around with it. I would have guessed it was going to run faster based on how liquid smooth things were on the youtube vids, but I also didnt know there was this much physically modelled detail put into this. Also, I suspect the vids have some sort magic applied to make it seem so smooth ;)

Great job and thanks for the release!

definitely a great idea to have some weight options, it drives heaps better with weight in the back

I found it interesting how GPU usage was hitting 99% while GPU power usage was only around 50% (screenshot shows 87% GPU usage, but it was 99% pretty constantly, just dropped when taking screenshot), fans were not screaming but I did remove engine cover and exhaust just out of curiosity.
    upload_2019-5-1_8-59-43.png

Sometimes with some games, GPU power usage hits 100% much before GPU usage, some Assetto Corsa mod maps are such.

I guess it is polygon vs shader workload or something like that where the difference comes, but not sure what it really is.

With only 1.6 million tris, 4 trucks would be only 6.4 million tris, so technically it should not be much at all for my GPU, even if one adds shadows that is only 12.8 million, there probably needs to be still something else that uses GPU computing power, but is not very power hungry task to do. Luis probably could understand much better what is going on with that, but very interesting behavior!

Also, noticed that you have semi.dae in your zip file, which may be unintentionally there.

@estama I heard your interested in this mod, is it for the potential to be a sledgehammer to break the game?, I am asking because I was curious about why it peaked your interest

I worked long into the night yesterday, and managed to get rid of almost all stresses in the J-beam on the engine cover, airfiltes, exhaust (sidepipes), the the cargo bed and walls, and all of the cab and its parts. Have fixed the engine RPM being to high, and lowered the power a bit. Have corrected the misspelling of exhaust in the parts menu.
    - And about the front airbags, that is because they have to be a lot stiffer then the rear ones, to tackle the enormous weight of all the parts in the front. But you can lower it in the tuning menu.
I will continue my work today, and hope to have a patch out tonight or tomorrow.

    Glad to hear :D

Out of curiosity, has this resulted in any performance improvements?
