So you know how you can drive with your smartphone and an app? Would it be possible to render and stream vr view to a phone bluetoothed to the pc in a similar way with a custom app and script? I feel it'd be less taxing to a pc, considering a phone has its own processor so it could handle the head motions to adjust the camera. It would make vr play available to most everybody who plays this game, keyboard, controller, or steering wheel.

Keep in mind the whole game would need a complete redo in order to make it possible. Plus a phone would have to basically run BeamNG side by side. So it would be taxing on the phone and would make it brick itself or explode.

it wouldnt be possible to have all rendering handled by the pc with the view streamed to the phone and the headmotion mapped to the pc?

I stream Beam to my phone all the time, the problem would be getting the camera system working correctly.

    Camera axis exists:

Only thing that is needed is to get phone act as game controller and then bind it to such axis.

So if you can steer with your phone, why you can't bind those steering axis to camera instead? I have no phone, at all, so haven't seen how this steer by phone works, but it can't be overly difficult if you just can stream beam to your phone at the same time.

Even better. Why CARDBOARD VR? Why not just use a cardboard screen? That way you can use a cardboard filter.
