Fucking cowards. This type of shit makes me livid.
I do not like cops, in particular. Even if the majority are good, the shit they can get away with is enough to make me dislike them.

They've gotten to the point where I'm required by law to have a passport to board a plane, even if only domestic travel. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. If I want to take a plane to New York, I STILL have to provide a passport. It's freaking ridiculous.

There's a way around it. My state offers a special I.D. that takes place of a driver's license. It allows me to drive, purchase alcohol, etc. etc. and fly. Thing is, I have to completely have my licensing renewed to gain it and provide a birth certificate, a current passport, social security, AND proof of address in order to even begin the process of applying for one.

All I want to do is ride on a big flying tube every now and again. It's fine if I have to pass through a useless X-ray (I carry knives on me for protection, have had one all the way to and on the plane before), but THIS?! That's a little far.

Probably with you on that. Like the majority are probably great people. But there's enough doing shit and getting covered by "the good ones" too, and then the institution itself does nothing about it. Kind of have to hate the whole structure.

That said there's something that pisses me off.
Parents teaching their kids that if they're naughty they're going to jail on such a way that it villifies the police from a young age. Had a case in my town where a toddler ran off in a park. Because he thought he had been naughty he thought he was going to jail and so took ages to find him because he kept hiding from the police officers out looking for him. A bit counter productive :/
By all means, got to raise your kids to not be douchebags, doing bad things is bad whatever, but making them outright afraid, probably not the best thing.

Standard Motor Corporation - March 2019 Official Press Release

In order to provide the best returns to our investors, we plan to take a full-steam-ahead approach, aggressively developing and adopting the business models and technologies that will make the most difference in the next decade - crossovers, zero emissions, driverless, vehicle-as-a-service, and China-centralized production. We have established the following roadmap for the years 2020-2029:

2020: Discontinue all Gavril models except crossovers, D-Series and H-Series. Introduce new subcompact crossover to Gavril lineup to replace the S-Series hatchback. All Burnside models produced from 2020 onwards will be manufactured under license by Biangfeng Tianjin Vehicle Company in China, and will be hybrids or EV's using Biangfeng-sourced powertrains.

2022: Introduce driverless variants of all Burnside models. Centralize all vehicle production under Biangfeng. Discontinue all internal combustion engines, move to an all-electric lineup.

2024: Introduce driverless variants of all vehicles, discontinue all driver-operated models.

2026: Discontinue vehicle sales, move to a subscription-centric business model.

2028: Move all design, research and development to Biangfeng. Discontinue all Burnside sedans, introduce new crossovers to fill the lineup. Refocus on branding and subscription service.

I seem to have the annoying habit of driving people I like away.

Interesting. Clearly there's something wrong with me.

While I was finally playing around with the campaign levels. I wondered...once career comes out, and even now with campaigns, what would "Speedrunning" BeamNG be like? I'd imagine it'd be super difficult, and easiest with a controller.

How to speed run a racing game:

    Step 1: Buy a Hillclimb SBR4
    Step 2: Profit

Seriously though, IMO the Sunburst would be best for speed running career mode out of the current lineup. Base models are cheap so they can be bought fairly early, and it can be spec'd for drifting, asphalt racing, or off road.

*Update speculation thread mode engaged* I just wonder what the different modes will look like in 1.0, as we know they are redoing the UI, steam achievements, and campaign system. Perhaps Campaigns/Scenarios will be combined, quick race and lightrunner will be combined, and bus routes will have a name change to allow for other zen* point to point driving modes.

*I've mentioned it before, I really want passengers to give wilhelm screams if the bus gets air time. I try to play the bus game mode as if I am playing Wreckfest school busses and I want a steam achievement and the sounds of terrified passengers to complement my playstyle.

Yeah, I bet so. Quick, agile enough, and a smolish boi. Unless they lock you into a vehicle like the A Rocky Start campaign.

I also imagine different catagories being the normal 100%, Any% (however that would work) and maybe some others depending on the career. Yet, maybe there would be catagories like "Keyboard" "Controller" "Wheel"

Talking about A Rocky Start, are they gonna continue that story in the career mode, or is there gonna be another campaign for that? AFAIK, I feel like career will start, or atleast start playability in ECUSA.

imo the Utah map actually feels a little small these days for career use. I'm not sure how feasible it would be, but I would be pretty stoked if they expanded it to double or quadruple the size (either rectangle or square map). I really like what is there already, and it would save time compared to a totally new map since the assets already exist. They even have road connections already in place that they could use. My guess is that the problem is hightmap size limitations, but it would be nice to see.

I just watched the Modern Rogue episode where they made a ghost hunting show; they ended it by suggesting they do a video where they have a seance and hope they get scared. This got me thinking, what about having a seance where the audience tries to mess with the medium with hidden speakers and a motion table and such?.. I want to see someone try that...

Apparently all new cars in Europe from 2022 are set to have speed limiters, preventing drivers from exceeding the speed limit. The UK is also choosing to implement this after leaving the EU too.

It won't apply the brakes when the speed limit drops, but it will prevent the driver from accelerating. Supposedly it can be temporarily disabled to allow for overtaking.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Are drivers going to start keeping their right foot pinned to the floor rather than driving to the conditions? Expecting the car to control the speed for them. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Regardless, I am sure car manufacturers are absolutely stoked about this one, especially after their sales have already plummeted over the past few years.

Its gonna be funny seeing people in brand new cars have circles driven around them by people in older vehicles. Got a brand new M3? No problem, a 1990's Ford Fiesta ztec will happily pass you by xD
