Hi everyone! After seeing SushiPro try to model an EV1 fit for BeamNG.drive, I've decided to give it a go myself and model an EV1.

I don't know how to make mods for BeamNG but I'm going to try to get this to be as close to the real EV1 as possible. I have some textures for the model but am going to need to gather more. I haven't attempted to model an interior for any vehicle prior to the EV1 but I hope to reduce the tris on the one I currently have (it was built for another project of mine.)

I'm glad to see that someone made an EV1 in Automation and that it was converted to electric (courtesy of u/KozyKat on Reddit.)

Hoping to finish this project. It'll be my first mod for any game though not my first 3D model.

Let me know what you guys would like to see in an EV1 mod and I'd appreciate any sort of support on mod making here as well :D

    Progress pics coming soon!

Definitely the more mods to choose from, the better. I can't really give you much help, as I can only make models while you seem to already know how :)

This would be really nice to have in the game, if you show a picture of the mesh I can probably tell you a few things to fix, unless its already good enough.

Yes, I saw some EV1 mods made in Automation. KozyKat was able to make it into a full EV.

Here is the current progress on the model. I need to fix some issues with the geometry of the model but it's mostly finished. I have to do the lights and the interior is still WIP.

If you need some pics of the electric engine and other stuff you can always do a quick google search.

Thanks for those pics, don't think I've seen the trunk one. I have some brochures and material of my own I will be using as well as some photos I have taken myself.

Darell Dickey's EV1! He also had a RAV4 EV and briefly a Ranger EV.

Ok here is the interior. It's got some issues which I have fixed since I took the photo (I don't have the file with me atm.) I need to decimate it as it's at 120k tris. I hope to get the interior 100% finished and fitted to the EV1 by the end of next week.

Thank you all for the support!

Could you please upload some wireframe, edit mode, and overall project progression screenshots please? Something about your rate of progress, the high level, almost professional level of visual quality in your project, and the overall inconsistencies in your "progress pics" is making me very suspicious.

Honda sort of "copied" the EV1 with their Insight. Both were designed for ultimate efficiency and John Wayland has been working on a hybrid EV1/Honda Insight. It uses an Insight body but has an EV1 motor, wheels, and other pieces. He's named it the EV2.

    It's real :)
The EV1 in my pfp was also collecting dust and moss before it disappeared. It's rumored to have been stolen so nobody really knows its status.

    General Motors?

    Looks around for Racer X

I better not be the only one to get this...

This mod looks really unique. I'd be happy to drive this ingame.

Hey, that's me. I haven't gotten around to posting the EV1 from Automation yet as it still needs some polishing. I however didn't convert it to electric, sorry. As for your model, it looks great so far!
