So im having this issue where im only getting around 25 fps no matter what settings im playing on. My specs: Ryzen 5 2600X 16GB 3000MHZ Corsair Vengeance LPX Zotac GTX 1070 8GB. I get good frames on any other game, but really low fps on BeamNG
25fps is so low that it sounds like there is some fps limiter or some odd low refreshrate screen resolution. Some also had Wallpaper engine causing that, if my memory is not lying to me too much.
Sounds familiar. I think I have a pretty beefy system and still get a steady sub-50 fps in the city of WCUSA... The CPU nor GPU usage is nowhere near 100% (below 40%). Now my CPU is at 4.8 GHz and the GPU is overclocked as well and still the same story. All settings max, even reflections and it's perfectly fine on some other maps (and other games). Edit: here's my system UserBenchmarks: Game 169%, Desk 120%, Work 112% CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K - 117.7% GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti - 241.7% SSD: Crucial MX500 250GB - 124.7% HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB (2016) - 97.1% RAM: Kingston HyperX 2400 C15 2x8GB - 79.2% MBD: MSI Z390-A PRO (MS-7B98)
For me, GPU is not enough fast if I crank reflections to max, but also CPU single thread is working hard when cranking settings to max, something that does not really show up easily, but 250ms polling interval and combo instead of text OSD type might show if one thread is getting considerably higher, it can peak 100% even graph shows only 70% or so, making GPU wait: Dynamic reflections is really not meant to be maxed out, it has bit much adjustment room for future hardware or something I guess. Setting faces per update, detail and distance to sensible values makes also reflections look much better instead of crisp mirror copy of what is 1000 meters away.
Okay I have no idea what has happened since I last tried but I switched the text OSD to graph and fired up WCUSA and all of a sudden I get constant 60 fps (v-sync) on 4k with even the reflections still maxed
Did you use SBR4 or modern ETK last time? Those have heavier LUA which runs on single core and in theory could be causing such, or then it can be completely other software, like wallpaper engine etc. --- Post updated --- Oh and also, having rivatuner FPS limiter on, even if not hitting the limit, can cause big CPU load. --- Post updated --- Also it seems you have now 4.8Ghz and before you had 4.3Ghz, it is possible that VRM will cause clock speeds to drop if it heats up well enough, especially bad issue with z370 boards.
Hello, I am having this issue as well. 8700k 5.1 ghz 3333 mhz 16gb cl16 ddr4 and a 2080ti, and am sitting at 50-ish frames on almost every map in 4K with v sync on everything maxed out, with vsync off I gain almost 30 more frames roughly. can you explain a little more what you meant by changing the text OSD to graph?
It’s a setting in RivaTuner so it should’t affect the game in any way. The problem seems to just have solved itself for me so I won’t be of much help for you I’m afraid
