Could the "new" Wendover perhaps get optional chrome bumper trim?

    Sorta like this:

    I hope the wendover gets a makeover where it's a boxy/angular 80s fwd coupe

    Wendover Coupe.

I think it looks pretty good. I prefer it over the sedan.

I'm pretty sure it would have a longer wheelbase.

Looks good. Better than the sedan. Hopefully we do eventually get a sedan variant as well, seeing as it fits well as both.

Always good to get an update on vehicle development. The new direction that the Wendover will be taking should be interesting - although I do hope that a copy of the 3d model of the 4-door Wendover is retained for potential future use. It may never be needed - but it would be comforting to know that options are being left open for the future.

As a coupe, some new and exciting options become more plausible - I'm hoping we'll see at least two levels of performance trims available, as was the case with the Buick Regal GN (pictured) and Regal GNX. The former could outrun the Corvette of the same period, while the latter is the well-known for being the only American car of the eighties that could go toe-to-toe with the V12 Italians. Sporty Legrans are already within range of the V8 Bolide using the same V6 engine, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with the Wendover

Beamng's vehicle development team might wish to take a look into the unique rear suspension of the rear-wheel drive GNX - part of its success lay in how the rear differential cover, Panhard Rod, and Radius Rod worked together to leverage the weight of the vehicle for improved traction. I wonder if something in the GNX's suspension setup could be translated into the Wendover's front suspension - or if something special and analog (that is to say, in the Jbeam structure) can be built in the rear so that the front is pressed down under acceleration.

Honestly, I would love more news about the revamped maps that @DoullPepper is working on. I can't wait to see what those looks like. So far Industrial Site and Port look great.

I think the wendover is supposed to be worse than the Legran, so I think performance will be quite low. But it is possible to have a few performance variants, which would be nice.

Why limit yourselves to one or the other, I mean I think I speak for a large portion of the community when saying that multiple body styles/options on things would just about mean more than getting a ton of different vehicles.

I guess the developers always leave alternative body styles to be modded by the community - Although it would be great to have both 4 and 2 door variants.
However, if it is one or the other I still prefer the two-door. I think that is a great new direction for the Wendover and I am really looking forward to it :D

@gabester I was wondering if the Wendover will have an 80's looking digital gauge cluster? That would be awesome if it does :)

    Tends to work.

I wouldn't expect it. It is based on the strongly non-performance H-Body Bonneville, which means the best we'll get is a supercharged V6.

Unless the devs stop caring about realism, which would piss me off in the case of Beam.
    --- Post updated ---
Fullsizes weren't like that. They were staid notchbacks.

In general, I still don't want the Wendover.

If it is a realistic expy of the 80s GM FWD fullsizes,, it's just a slightly larger LeGran. Why don't do something less like what we already have?

I wonder. Since the bodystyle change of the Soliad Wendover, if the car will retain the same number of doors.

A coupe is generally a two-door, so probably not.

We just got a 2 door sedan, may as well release a 4 door coupe to match ;)

But some models primarily available as a coupe can be available as a sedan too.
