back on topic, this is really cool, I'm looking forward to the police config, if that happens! also, chevy smallblock swap when?
NO FREAKING WAY!! This is awesome! The Cosmo is my father's favorite car, and I love it! I'm sure it'll turn out fabulous. Good luck! Also, I doubt it, since it only came in a coupe. But, it may be possible?
No I don't have any plans atm to make a repo/lore friendly version at this point in time, it will be a forums only mod. Thanks for the kind words, I have a feeling you will be able to drive it soon The mirrors solution is weird, but with the lack of usable nodes anywhere lower or closer (Anything closer is causing a minor instability,) it's currently the best solution. In most impacts that stand a chance of dislodging the mirrors, everything breaks off as it's supposed to still. The 13B won't fit in the engine bay IIRC, it's too big. But I'd love to do a 12A engine swap for the track or race configs. I would prefer you don't We'll see what you do then when the mod's released I guess That was my goal tbh, I wanted to see what I can do. Idk if it's the best looking mod in the game, but it's definitely a significant step up from the Vendetta in terms of quality. Neat to hear that I've been interested in the Cosmo since I won one in Gran Turismo 4 a long time ago. And making this into a sedan would be almost impossible due to the lack of space. These things are insanely tiny... Just for size comparison, these are the smallest official cars in the game next to this thing;
It looks absolutely fantastic, and fits in great with the stock Beam vehicles. Also, I doubt lack of space will stop anyone from engine swapping this, even if it involves gratuitous application of a saw to the body panels.
That was my goal was to get it to fit in with them. I'll leave the interior as a surprise for now, but I think it fits quite nicely too Also, Technically speaking, anything's possible given enough time, money, and effort. But I'd much rather not have to deal with another ten to 15 different sets of UVs, textures, and countless more models and JBeams here. If someone wishes to make a 13B torque curve and engine mod for this at a future time after this is released, they may do so. I'm also not doing an L10A Cosmo because of this same issue of managing and organizing everything, at-least for right now. I had to pick between the L10A and the L10B when I started, and I chose the more common one simply out of an effort to try and find references. I'm only aware of 2 doccumented restorations, both of which were L10As, however I can find more pictures of the L10Bs at the angles I need. My goal is enjoyable good quality work, with simplicity here. I want a mod that's both good, and simple enough to avoid breaking everything with a game update. SO far this mod has survived 3 major game versions during its development with no need to rework anything to make it compatible, I hope to keep it that way. And I also want to keep it simple enough that it's easy to track down and fix anything that does break in an update. Thank you If no one read the "Requests" section of the OP, I'm looking for some engine sounds for a 10A or a 12A Mazda Rotary engine that sound better than the current ones I'm using from existing mods, preferably already integrated into the new sound system instead of using the deprecated .SBEAM system. I don't know anyone around me that has an old Mazda with a 10A or 12A engine that's running, so I can't go out and record my own samples. If I did, I probably would be off right now trying to record sound samples. If you have any samples or even a full on sound mod already made, preferably using samples that are NOT from Forza or any other triple A game, Please send me a message. Any contributions will be appropriately credited.
The mazda looks very promising i think this is going to be a realy detaild mod. I can't wait to see the interior
