    My ATI HD 4870x2 (DX10.1 card) seems to have no issues with running this version.
    The DX10 branch on Steam uses 0.14, though;
    Are there any known issues with 0.15, as reason behind this choice?

    Maybe my card doing alright because of it being DX10.1?
    If so, will 10.1 be deprecated separately, or do I need to start backing up the game until it's broken?

    Wouldn't DirectX10.1 have a very similar if not the same base code as DirectX10?

    DX10 should be supported on v0.15, but will not be supported on v0.16 and later versions.

    It's different enough to warrant changes in GPU architecture, it's definitely possible for some things to break on DX10, that wouldn't on 10.1.

    Just a thought. I don't think the dev team meant to go into the smaller versions. Even if, no idea how it's working. Maybe there is something in the code that's checking if it's running DirectX10 and not counting the .1? I don't know, just a random thought. Know nothing about computers.

    DirectX10 was not officially supported, as the game's minimum requirements always stated DirectX11.
    Said that, it happened to work, and we put our effort into keeping that till it was possible.
    Although as we are working more and more on the renderer, some of the technique used simply do not exists in DirectX10.
    Since the previous versions you would have seen some graphical features not working or not working properly. More recently the optimization are simply incompatible with that old DirectX version.
    Nvidia cards started to fall apart, causing crashes as soon shaders gets compiled, due the incompatibilities.
    This does not seem to affect AMD cards tho.

    So yeah, your AMD card may still work, you got no guarantee for how long that will keep happening.
    Since DirectX10 made it's time in history, it's probably time to consider an alternative that can support current DirectX levels.

    PS. This DirectX10 mode required a DirectX10.1 card. DirectX10 only cards were no go.
