So I might want to build a computer and I have looked into some parts and I was wondering (i am not very good with computer types and shiz) if these parts were good or not. I most likely left some parts out lol. Tell me if these (so far) are ok. . .

    AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz
    500GB SATAII 7200 RPM
    GeForce GTX 750
    GreenMax plus 55W power supply

lol don't get all technical wordy with me ok. . . i barely know what any of these things mean... all i know is that i have a motherboard listed, a power supply, hard drive (i think), and a graphics card.

The FX-6300 is entry-level at this point. The GTX 750 is also fairly low-end now. Dafuq are you getting a 55w power supply? You mean 550w? A 500gb hard drive isn't bad per se, but storage is cheap. I'd get at least a 1tb hdd.

Barring any extreme sales, with such a small budget that's pretty much all you're gonna get... If I were you I'd save up at least $500, preferably more around $700...

Also, you're gonna need RAM, a case, various wires, a motherboard, an OS, and a disc drive if you don't have any of those already.

Are they OEM or builder's cases? Most cases from manufacturers such as Dell and HP have proprietary connections so you can't swap out most parts... but if they're normal cases like Corsair or Rosewill for building computer in then you should be fine.

It means they were made by Dell for Dell computers. All the Dell cases I've dealt with had non-standard connections for everything, so I doubt you could use those... For this kind of system you could probably get a case for about $30. Or, and this is not really recommended, but it is an option, you could go caseless. I've run several systems with the parts just lying on a non-conductive surface for testing and such. Many people choose never to have a case. The danger here is objects falling on the parts and possible damaging them or creating shorts between circuits.

    NONONONONO

Those tiny alienwares are the worst. There's zero room for expansion, and the cooling is terrible. It's far better to save up $6-700 and build your own...

so just because something says it's the ultimate for something, you're going to believe it?

Ah... I was thinking of the 650 for some reason. Either way, the 750 is still pretty weak..

    - - - Updated - - -

It's certainly not the ultimate... but it is one of their newer cards. Perhaps 'ultimate' compared to the same priced cards from the previous gen.

I agree, the 750 is pretty meh, but i still want one, just cause it takes no PCI-E power connectors becuase its so efficient. Also its already on a new achitecture that the rest of the 7xx's arent on yet, which is pretty cool. Plus its more than enough for most, if not all beamng maps.

I highlighted that to emphasize the GTX750 is not in the low end category.
The GTX750 is nowhere near the bottom of the list, as was stated, which I disputed.

You said it was low end. It's the bottom of the GTX700 series, yes.

Again, I highlighted that to emphasize the GTX750 is not in the low end category, that's all...

    GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked for $150USD? It's quite a bargain...

Be that as it may, the 750 is a low-end entry level card. That list includes two or three generations prior to Maxwell. It's nowhere near as bad as some of those cards listed, but taken with the latest batch of cards, it is low end.

Split hairs if you want, those are the current supported cards offered
by that manufacturer, and the 750 falls nowhere near the bottom.

Google "entry level nvidia graphics card" and see what you get.

I won't bash you over the head with my opinion, you have
the right to believe whatever you want. ;)

From the various posts of yours, and your signature, I think you want us to say what we think so you can rip it to shreds and try to make us look bad. Literally 99% of the posts I have seen from you cause controversy. Also, if you think you are being funny or trying to make creative or dalek look bad by putting something said by them in your signature, it may do that, but it is a low blow and it is kinda immature of you to show everyone what one person said at one time that you do not agree with. (then again, if you fully embraced that notion, you might as well just put all of the posts you respond to in that sig.)
