Re: Do you want a timer added to Corkscrew Mountain? Dammit. I went full retard and somehow put "what's corkscrew mountain" Yes. I think you should put one in.
Re: Do you want a timer added to Corkscrew Mountain? If you have time and just to do so, yes please. Would be lovely. Thank you in advance, in case it turns out to happen.
Re: Do you want a timer added to Corkscrew Mountain? I would like it, unfortunately I can only ever make it near to bottom then I loose control and destroy my car. One day I will finish it...
Re: Do you want a timer added to Corkscrew Mountain? Alright, I have a good track timer with 8 checkpoints made for this. I'll upload it soon. I can't help but think how good this would be if I had a website to serve everyone's best times to. I could do it, but I don't have a personal website. I have business website. I guess what I wanna do is basically what part of the race update will do, so I'll hold off on buying and making a website to display everyone's times. For now, take a screenshot of your best times and post 'em here. We can have some competition. Download the new version here. - - - Updated - - - LOL, I'll kick it off with my horrible best time for the Covet.
how does the track timer work? is there a hotkey to enable it? i deleted version 1.2 of your map and followed the instructions for 1.2 but i don't see a timer anywhere.
It's all automatic with triggered code. The light version doesn't have the timer yet. Are you using the light version?
i am not using the light version. i followed your readme and the cmLT directory is in my lua folder. how should i try to debug?
I just deleted everything from my BeamNG and extracted the downloaded archive and it worked. You should see the timer display as soon as the level loads. - - - Updated - - - did you overwrite your lua/vehicle/beamng.lua with the one in my archive ? there's another file called dumpVehicleDir.lua in my archive ( lua/vehicle ) that should be in your /lua/vehicle directory. Those two files dump the current vehicle directory name to a file so my timer scripts can access it. Just hit the tilde key to bring up the console and see if it's showing any errors. - - - Updated - - - Hold on, I see a problem. It doesn't work unless you have The Nostalgia installed too. Let me see what's going on here and I'll get backt o you..
yeah i noticed it. here's the full error: http://i.imgur.com/hJDRQ6R.png i didn't see this error the first time i tried to see why it wasn't working. oh well.
Alright, I found the problem. It's so small, jesus.. I'll make the correction and upload the archive with the correction. After you download it and try it, report back to this thread please. - - - Updated - - - It's ready to be downloaded again. It should be 100% now. Thanks for reporting the problem !
It seems that your lap timer interacts with the speedometer mod, the timer will not show up if you use the speedo mod. Other then that small problem this is a great little widget, I wish all the tracks had one! It should make for pretty official fair time trials. I managed 3 mins 4.79 secs in the default Covet, can't help but drift every corner
Yea, it doesn't show up with the speedometer mod and I wish it did. I can check into it and see if it's possible, but I don't think it is because it seems they both wanna use the same space for their display. That seems like a good time considering mine with the default Covet was 3:30something.. I spun out a few times. I'm happy to just make it down without breaking my car honestly. Do you use a steering wheel ?
The speedo mod isn't going to work after the update anyway so no biggie, just wanted to point it out in case people think it's broken. I use an xbox 360 controller, wish I had a racing wheel! I imagine someone will get a much better time if you drive a bit more conservatively, drifting can bleed off a lot of speed.
I didn't know that. The best I could do without a lot more coding would be to display your speed as you go through a checkpoint.

2 mins 52.81 secs in the Grand Marshal Sport, without a doubt the most fun car to drive around this track. The Marshal loves getting sideways. Top of the leader boards for all of a couple hours lol, I wonder if I can shave 5 secs off..
Grand Marshal Sport Steering - Logitech G27 / 720 grade 02:51:28 Secs - - - Updated - - - Hi mike22, have some bug with the checkpoints, every time when i do a big jump, after landig hard, lose some parts from the car, after this the checkpoints not work! can you fix this problem?
Haha Nice! This is why I love the timer, it would be impossible to tell who won if we had eyeballed the start/finish line. Less then 2 seconds . I'm having too much fun with this map! Defaullt H15 Supervan around the track in: 2 Mins 59.54 Secs
