I'm still intent on finishing it. However, my time has been fairly strained lately. That being said, I'm working out how to get this moving the way I want it to.
4 years since this thread was started. Dang, @luchvk must be dedicated. (I'm pretty sure a mod hasn't taken that long ever.)
Yo @luchvk , if you want, I could help you out with this car. I would be able to properly get it in game and textured. Just hit me up in a PM if you need anything.
Its not dead , like other peeps said : its on life support , id say let the author do the talking . As saying things like "oh its dead" , well , that doesnt help the progress on this mod in any way . Yes , i wish it was already done , but good mods sadly take a sh@t load of time and some peeps take a break from modding every now and then . So if you think its dead , just ignore it and go on to other mods which are currently WiP or released . . .
I have proper GT3 experience in rF2, AC, Raceroom, but not in BeamNG, so kinda hoping to have such in BeamNG as based on my experience BeamNG could get pretty nicely ahead of those others if having well gripping GT3 car in it. Quite challenge to make aero etc. to work properly though, even finding data can be tricky.
It's planned, but not a the top of the list. Some others have asked the same question too. So, I'll update the main post to state that I have plans to make it. Thanks for the support too! It really helps. --- Post updated --- I want to make it drive as accurately as possible. That being said, I can only try to approximate it the best that I can. Yes. It's taking much more time and effort than I initially anticipated. Though, I think I've learned a lot through working on it. I still have a lot to learn.
Rear wings seem to be around 400-600kg of downforce at 240kph on various GTR race cars. New McLaren hypercar Senna has 1000kg of total downforce, not sure about speed, but at least 240kph or more I would guess. But also: https://www.topspeed.com/cars/ferrari/2018-ferrari-fxx-k-evo-ar178099.html
Yep... It's been a while since I started this. Thanks for this post! I know that Ferrari and the GTR are very different cars but I may learn some useful things through reading that post. I expect that I'll have to dig deeper but that information could be very helpful.
For this thread, 5 years seems like such a short time. But looking at this, jesus Christ it's amazing this is still going on after a total of 5 years...just notice how long a week feels XD
