    sneak peak behind the curtain:
    • New profiler (being worked on)
    • New ingame level ticket system (for internal use). Note that we have 244 open tickets for Italy left ;)
    • New world editor toolbar at the top with various alpha stage tools

I like the way that is looking, hopefully the new world editor will bring some big improvements to workflow and dependability.

Hopefully it doesn't require a GTX1080 to get an average of 52fps though :p

Tickets: Bugs/Issues that are found during development that are "flagged" / a ticket is created to keep a log of all things needing to be done. I work with tickets at work....not tickets like "BeamNG now has a police force simulated" lol that would be cool tho

Tickets is something that you will never see. Its essentially a todo list (including bugs and features) for the developers to work through.

    Lemme explain :D

The ticket system is a tool that we use internally to keep track of issues we need to resolve.

In this case Ticket #3551 describes a bug that we need to fix for 0.15 with the priority 'High'. It's a hole under some house in italy that needs fixing :)

In total, we have 1420 open issues right now ^^

Thank you that explains it better. Can't wait for the update. Maybe it will come earlier than we thought. o_O:rolleyes:

But what is the profiler? You answered one out of two of the questions.

A profiler is a tool that measures performance in the game, so we can find problems with the level or assets or anything else really.

The CPU graph shows how much time is spent on the CPU side of things for rendering one frame. (3.8 ms in this frame on render and 3.3 for the prerender)

    screenshot_2018-12-03_21-30-58.jpg

The physics graph shows how much time the node/beam physics takes. In frame #276 it took 0.035 ms to calculate the simulation :)

    screenshot_2018-12-03_21-31-09.jpg

The Memory graph shows the computer memory usage

    screenshot_2018-12-03_21-31-13.jpg

And the GPU graph shows how much time is spent on the graphics card in each step. In this case 4.7 ms for rendering the shadows, 1.4 ms for the PostFX :)

When I create mods I use a sort of ticket system myself:

    Fix Wheels Exploding
    Door opens too easy
    Frame jbeam is too wobbly
Add special key to rear door

I didn't know it was called a ticket, cool to see it used on the dev level and with priority's!

Well I hope the new world editor let's me hold shift/ctrl/alt or whatever to toggle moving larger objects precisely (like 1 millimeter at a time, especially useful when it's a long object and you're trying to precisely line it up). That would be a super-duper handy feature. Some programs (including the current editor in the game) let you move the mouse up/down when you move an object sideways, but it's very hard to move the mouse perfectly up and down without accidentally going sideways (especially if your nerves are borderline going bad, and you can't hold your hands very steady).
I am super-thrilled to see the world editing tool being worked on. You have my utmost gratitude and blessing.
    Sincerely
    --The (pain-filled) Bob

@Sithhy™ nah they're probably secretly testing Roane County TN, but on the other hand, that 53.9 FPS would be more like 23.9 FPS on a 1080ti, haha.
