Hi, i recently got inspired and made my own Beamng Trailer. I would really appreciate it if you guys could rate it and give me some advice Also if this type of post isn't appropriate just tell me and i will delete it. Thanks. Video:
That was not what I expected. The cinematic camera made it feel like it was actually made by a dev. I seriously do not know how people do it. Very impressive.
Overall it wasn´t terrible. The editing could´ve been a bit more .. lively. Some scenes felt way too long and kinda empty. Also music. It´s not like the song was out of place but it didn´t quite fit in, especially since (I beleieve) it is the FH4 trailer song. And a trailer shouldn´t be longer than maximum 2 minutes. The beginning and the very end were ok, the middle part was kinda streched. But overall, not bad, expected worse to be quite honest.
Yeah the music is from fh4's trailer, i wrote in the description that the trailer and the music was what inspired me to make this. Thanks for your advice i will try to make my next projects more dynamic and lively.
Wow...... Usually when people post stuff like this, it looks like something an 8 year old made at film camp..... But this, this is beautiful. Great shots, editing was great..... a job truly well done! This honestly looks like the devs made it. Remove the mod footage and the devs could probably use this as an updated trailer. Great job!
I like how there clearly has been effort put to this one. Whoever decided that song would be good for FH4 should be fired, that song used whole 5 words I think Anyway shadows cut off and it kinda catch the eye. Avoiding glitches would be good for trailer. Not sure if that cutoff distance can be edited for trailer purposes. Would like to see you making more trailers, maybe have theme for each and make a few different ones showing variety seen in this to more detail, that way you can create a series.
That is a really good idea, i probably will do something like that in the near future, for now i have planned to make a fan made gameplay trailer. I know that the Shadows and trees/props etc. Glitch or appear lod but i have the game on max settings except for dynamic reflections which i turn on only for night shots. You can probably turn the render distance up in some config files or something so if someone knows how to do it or if this is even possible i would really apreciate it if you could help me.
While in game, windowed mode, press F11, find sunsky object and explore shadow options. Removing last split terrain and putting enough high fade start distance should help with shadows, but it makes them harder to render so your CPU might be struggling so you need to experiment and find perfect balance.
