I can at least manipulate an object in wings whereas I cannot work out anything at all in blender. At least I'm not trying to use sketchup...
2.69.terrible that I had to smirk at that Can't even remember where I came across wings. It doesn't have a collada importer though (had to work out how to import/export in blender for that) and last time I exported to collada it decided to append "-O" to each object name which was entirely useful...
i kind of wish i had a station wagon just so i could call it "the pussy wagon" which is a title i currently hold for my mom's cr-v, close enough.
it's the pussy wagon when my mom drives it, when i drive it it's the pussy wagon. like i can fit me and a woman in the back of my 300zx screw that lol
Well, wings3d decided to rename everything on export once again, figured a collada file is just plain XML so it should be easy (but tedious) to rename everything back again. Turns out GEdit crashes when trying to edit a 3.5mb file Tried Visual Studio 2012 instead, File>Open>File>hatch.DAE Was hoping for either plain text, hex or better still VS2012 to pick up on it being an XML structure. Instead I got this: Seems very limited but it does have some editing tools, it can extrude faces and move vertices around or in my case rename wheel_03_a_16x9_FR-0 to wheel_03_a_16x9_FR Did a few objects and have the age old spinning mesh and a few parts not lining up issues \o/
Does it only do that on the collada format, or on the object format too? In case the object format exporter works better with keeping names ect., i could port from .obj to .dae for you.
visual studio has 3d modelling support in it? wow, never knew that, you learn something new every day
Please let me help you haha wings3D kooks shite and the fact you've managed to do that in it is crazy haha. I can get and send you a 100% legal and legit 3ds max license if you want. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
- - - Updated - - - Looks great! Will there b any hot rod parts on it,like nice fat drag radials,or pro street style. eather way looks awsome.
Thought I'd do something proper for once. (imported from here) Giving it a nice smashing. Lovely texturing on this thing too: Need to model some new rims to fit the existing spindles, but this thing is fun as hell. EDIT: Model is from Off-road Drive
