    I've noticed something with the new camera and unofficial right-hand drive vehicles, that looking around in them looks a bit wrong, like the game assumes that it's a left-hand drive vehicle:

    On the other hand, here's what looking around in an official right-hand vehicle (like the Ibishu Miramar) looks like:



    This has nothing to do with the mods themselves, but there should be an option to be able to "flip" the rotation so that looking around in modded right-hand drive cars would look "right", like looking around in the Ibishu Miramar.

    And optionally, it should be for each variant, for some mods that add RHD versions of LHD vehicles, such as the JDM Pessima mod, and vice-versa, rather than for all variants.

    Steering speed filter stopped working for me. "Speed" at which to start and end the filtering are always at "NaN"

    Something very small, when a mod is outdated it should read "This mod has been deactivated" not "This mod have been deactivated". :)

    sometimes when switching in between a car with ESC and one without it the ECS button on will disappear from simple powertrain control app for the car with ECS. (tested in between the Pessima gen 2 and the ETK 800)

    Yes instead, at least from now on.
    You need to add a line to tell the game if a vehicle is RHD, so that it automatically flips the thing.
    Example from miramar_body.jbeam:

    Should M.isSportModeActive modify aggression and that should make CVT to have sports mode? There is no highshiftup or down with CVT I guess, something there just is not happening.

    Anyway I made a test transmission for you, I had to set "aggressionSmoothingDown":1.2, and "aggressionSmoothingUp":0.20, as well as "cvtLowRPM":1300, to get CVT to shift like I see it doing in real world videos, it is still not perfect, but gives an idea I hope.

    Question here is that is transmission stuck in sports mode or in drive mode, it has to be one or another as D and S act 100% same, I can't tell based on values which one it would be.

    File goes to documents/beamng.drive/vehicles/sunburst as usual, if anyone else likes to test.

    There is another reference video, from 2:25 to 2:50 is part I used as something to aim for with my weak tweaking attempt:


    If anyone wants to tweak more, just change smoothingDown and smoothingUp until it matches better to what you know from CVT or see on videos. Higher values provide faster reaction of CVT while lower provide slower reaction, but if bug is causing it to be stuck on S mode, then fix to bug will make any tuning obsolete.



    My CVT tune got 7.3l/100km and vanilla CVT got 8.7l/100km in not very controlled test of driving around a loop road of Jungle rock island while maintaining 40mph in a way I used to drive real life.

    With more controlled test with difference being using cruise control set to 64kph and also putting RS turbocharger to cars difference was still there, but not quite so big:
    49.39l left, 9.68 l/100km Alternative
    49.35l left, 10.32 l/100km Vanilla

    Acceleration was done by cruise control and at tunnel entrance brakes were applied fully, after full loop and bit more. Start was at observatory intersection and stop was next tunnel from that after doing full loop.

    Alternative transmission did not allowed engine to scream at 4000rpm during steepest hill like vanilla transmission did allow, also during coasting Alternative transmission did not slow down speed of vehicle as much as vanilla transmission did, allowing throttle to remain 0% longer.

    Difference in 0-100kph acceleration test was less than 0.1 seconds, vanilla was 0.04-0.08 seconds faster, but such small difference is perfectly acceptable considering benefits of Alternative tune.

    Conclusion is that with Alternative transmission tune fuel consumption decreases, noise level decreases as well as emissions decrease, while performance is maintained practically at same level.

    Ok, but when i switch back to a left-hand drive vehicle from the miramar, the camera gets messed up for any and all left-hand drive vehicles (until i reset the lua). I tested this on safe mode (no mods active) by the way..

    Yes sorry, it is on the Hiroshi, when I put full throtle for a while, when it's in high rpm the engine is constantly changing rmp bteween 5000 and 6000 approximativly.. and when you stop accelerating at a high speed after full throtle the car is braking by small sequence...
    I hope I am clear

    Since 0.14, I have not been able to run Automation cars in Time Trials mode. You can pick the map, you can see the cars in the list, you can change the color of the car, but no matter how many times you click on select, it will not select them. I tried adding new cars, different maps, safe mode, and verify integrity. I can use them in Free Roam with no issue, but not time trials.

    Mods i didn't seem to have a problem with, but i just grabbed a few that were variants of BeamNG vehicles. I pulled an automation mod as well and it also failed to select in time trials

    I tried and it's working fine here:

    No problems in selecting the Automation vehicles in time trial.
    Any particular steps to follow to replicate this issue?

    Nothing different from normal usage. I'll try a reinstall and see if that helps.

    Edit: Clean reinstall done, deleted BeamNG folder, re-exported cars to BeamNG from Automation, and still cannot run them in Time Trial mode.

    I attached the LUA readout for when i have an Automation vehicle selected and I click the "Select Vehicle" button

    I used to able to select my own saved settings for cars in time trial, but for light runner this seems not to be possible, I did not test time trials yet, but it would be handy to be able to make longer gearing and use that saved preset.

    Of course there could be cheat protection reasons that make that hard to implement.

    You probably have a mod that adds configurations to the T-Series. Try disabling any mods that could be affecting it.

    This is the first update that has seemed to cause real problems for me (including with the hotfix). Currently when I load West Coast and Automation test track, the camera position spawns about 1/2 a mile underground. I can move the camera (with control C), and if I go to the regular spawn point the car is there, and it will drive normally. However, I can't get the camera to change to be in the car. Also, the maps take a looooong time to load.

    I have tried running with mods disabled with no change in those two maps. I tried loading the industrial park map, and it seemed to work fine. Not sure if my old system is finally catching up to me (Q6000, 2.4ghz, 4 gig ram, .GTX 750Ti w/2gig vid memory)

    Really strange.
    Perhaps some broken files somewher.
    Verify your install, else do a Clean Reinstall

    Since the new update, every time I try to spawn a vehicle I get '' fatal vehicle exception " message.

    Usually happens with broken mods.
    As written in the first post, please check with all your mods disabled first.
