Sure. I did it already yesterday. I've also sent you PM with my Support ID. Maybe that will help a little.
The temporary fix with "onlineFeatures = disable" works as intended and makes the game not crash with unspecified error when you click "launch game" in the launcher. Booting in safemode does work. No mods.
*I’ve only had time to play the new update for about 2 hours last night, most of which was spent jumping the Hero bus off of the rollback flatbed with the American patriot skin, so it’s entirely possible I have missed some features* Concerning the driver camera: I wish we could look out of the front of the car in the same we we can look out of the back. Would help with off roading. The lack of ability to change some of the controls is very strange. Making this worse, the defaults are set to commonly used controls. As mentioned by others, the default sensitivity feels really off. I messed around with the linearity settings and it helped a little but I have yet to get it to a point that I’m happy with. As for the track builder: The only thing I’ve done with this is open the menu. Did the different types of walls and obstacles shown in the microblog post make it into this update? I haven’t seen any mention of them. Also, any plans for tubes instead of normal roads? I’ve never played a racing game with those style tracks but racing a Hillclimb SBR4 or a JATO equipped bus on that sounds amazing
Minor but important fixes. You can change any controls in the driver camera. They use the same generic controls for cameras (Options > Camera). See first post too. Obstacles and walls are in there too, see the various other buttons at the top of the Track Builder UI. More info here: https://wiki.beamng.com/TrackBuilder
I couldn't find this -rather specific- bug mentioned before: When my Dualshock 4 controller disconnects (wonky connection..), the game freezes for roughly two minutes. Obviously tested without mods and with cleared cache.
Here I'm using a DualShock 4 with DS4Windows without any problems, both connected via Bluetooth and USB. Remember to close Steam and Origin.
No, not anymore since you guys started supporting the device. However I have just noticed that a part of InputMapper, "InputMapperCerberusWhitelister (32 bit)", is running in the background. No idea if that's the problem, I'll disable it and see whether that fixes it. Steam is only running the background. I suppose that isn't a problem?
Steam grabs the controller input for the Big Picture mode, and usually causes problems with games (sticky keys, non working analog sticks or even game freezes) since it prevents both DS4Windows and InputMapper to use the gamepad exclusively. The same thing happens with EA's Origin or any other app that uses the Joystick Input. You should try closing every proccess that involves the use of the controller and run BeamNG in safe mode. I'm pretty sure that InputMapper is causing problems with it, so closing that proccess only may fix your issue.
I have exactly the same error. Game worked before update. Safe-mode, clear cache and clean reinstall did not work. System: Windows 10 10.0.17134 build 17134 Core i7-7600K GTX1080 NVidia drivers: 416.34 logs before crash are attached.
After closing everything that could possibly have something to do with the DS4 controller (i.e. the background processes of Steam and InputMapper), the came still freezes for a minute every time the controller disconnects for a second. So to me it really seems that BeamNG itself is at fault.
