Thanks, this is my first mod, so it's probably going to have some harsh parts in the model, some spiky jbeam(until fixed) and some other issues. I am going to use an edited roamer jbeam, rescaled and moved to fit the new mesh, so that should help. I'm going to first just have the stock car with one motor and probably a few rim options, for initial release. After initial release, I'm going to then work on off-road and maybe sport addons. I just can't wait for the weekend, imma be working nonstop on it

Everyone has to start somewhere. Besides the suburban is a rather boxy vehicle too.
I’m sure it’ll turn out good!

Yeah that's why I chose it, its pretty boxy, not any significant curves, so hopefully it turn out good.

some progress, doing the sides first, then gonna connect the two sides once they are done and mirrored, after that the top, then the front, finally back.

welp. It's happened again, ITS ALL CHANGING! For hopefully the last time, I'm restarting the model. A huge thanks to @atomspeed123 (author of Blackfoot) for giving me a hand with getting a model made the right way. Another course of actions though, I'm not going to be making this car room scratch, this is the new plan.

My model (mesh) will be replacing the roamer mesh, once the model is complete, I will move on to jbeam, I will be editing and going through the jbeam to get to fill/line up with the new mesh. This is going to take a while, I'm very new and have very little experience. Apart from that, everything is going as planned(though that will prob change) and I hope to be posting some progress soon!

Alright, so. A tiny tiny tiny tiny bit of progress, the only thing done so far is exactly what you see. A shell, I mesh slapped it to a roamer to check scale and size. Once I'm home from school, I'll be working for about 6 hours on it, so there should be more progress tonight.

I'm sitting here in lunch, just realized i did the front end wrong lol, the way i did it was for a bronco, when I get home I'm gonna fix that lol.

That is good plan, it will let you get familiar with everything without overwhelming (so much :D).

Understanding jbeam spring and damping etc. it is steep and long road, for you modeling alone is a new hurdle to tackle, so it is very wise to limit challenges at first.

Roamer is so close to this vehicle, that it should work really well.

yeah, since This is my first ever mod, model, jbeam, literally everything, I figure reducing the obstacles and challenges would be good idea.

man I wish I had seen this sooner, someone in my neighborhood used to have a squarebody Chevy (it was the pickup unfortunately, but had a lot of similarities) that I could have gotten you reference images off of, regardless, I hope you can make some good progress!

Thanks, but don't worry, I'm actually making some good progress right now. There may be a major change coming up, but I'm not gonna discuss that yet.

Here’s a little sneak peek at a tad bit of progress, I don’t wanna give too much away, as it’s dtill a ways away from release. But I figured I’d show what’s been happening in this period of silence.

I cannot wait to see how this handles on my wheel. I hope it has it's realistic weight, not to light where it is light and bouncy, but the good weight where i can feel the weight on my wheel

It’s gonna use an edited roamer jbeam, so I’m gonna need to add a bit of weight, but already with my wheel it feels good.

Do you guys want me to post full pics of progress. Only reason I’m hesitant is because I don’t want to release pics and then take forever and make people angry.

If it has real names, he could get the mod taken down, or he could get in trouble.
