What about a derby setting? Like, you spawn up a few cars then set them to the derby mode and the AI will just ram their car into others, and not just chase you... That didn't make much scene, I dont think. What would also be interesting if the AI could react to props like tire walls or cones and recognize them as barriers, so they're forced to take another route to where they're going.

I'd love to see a proper pursuit AI mode with smarter AI tactics, or possibly coordination. The PIT can easily be pulled off in BeamNG, and having the AI know how to do that would be quite scary. Also, at higher AI risk, they should even attempt shoving you off the road. If there are multiple AI pursuers, they should attempt to coordinate their moves and possibly even attempt a rolling roadblock, and box you in if you got stuck. The current AI just tries to rear-ram you, and that gets old pretty fast.

Not only that, but it's also very annoying when I'm trying to have the AI follow me in a racing situation, and all they do is try to Forza noob/Shingo me off the road at every single corner, only to crash and burn on the side of a mountain every time. That means that the average length of a run from the AI lasts all of...maybe a minute or two at most before they end up in a pole? I know I've chased the AI in a Bolide 320 while they were driving a Kc6d in VR City for 15 minutes in 0.9/0.10, and that's about as long as they managed before the K-Series's brakes gave up. But there's no way that the current chasing AI would last that long, even in a straight line like SSRB.

I wouldn't be surprised, and would probably be best, if both Chase and Flee were updated at the same time, so the chaser doesn't wreck your back end, and the fleeing vehicle doesn't overshoot corners and ignore the brakes. Even if, there should probably be a setting for Old or New Chase/Flee. Seeing them wreck eachother can be quiet fun.

i wonder how much time and effort it actually takes just to make the ai better like they are now.
if you were to race the ai now the ai would go into a wall or bring you to it.
great for demolition derbies but not racing.
this would be useful for if you think about trying to make a turn before a car at least your truck wont get hit full speed at least the ai would try to slow down.

I wonder about half-autonomous cars. I mean, we have AI in game already, but many modern cars have driving assists like staying in lane, autonomous braking, and so on. I don't really think this would play well in the game (we're all here for driving, not for seeing the computer drive), but it could be interesting to see something like that implemented.

Well, their research project is closely tied to that area, so it is same work really what AI needs to be good in sim and what research project AI would need, I think.

could you make them indicate around corners and switch there lower beam when it is dark and car in front. and they put there high beam on when nobody is there in the dark. could you make them put there hazard lights on when they break down or have a flat tier or if there have crashed.(it kinda doesn't make sense)

they should stop at stop signs when other cars are going and the same with red lights

Wow, you sure are asking a lot...you should be patient for the core part of it to come (And I bet the AI will be able to stop at stop signs or red lights designated with the AI route or intersections period. Atleast I think that'll be what they do.)

So yes, the video shown on the first post, is what you said at the bottom...
